Slooooowwww but good data integrity . Believe it or not, there are USB flash drives that will screw up your data. If you know about checking a file's CRC, you can test a USB device by moving mass amounts of data, then verifying the CRCs. I had one brand that actually would corrupt files when I unplugged it from my computer (even if I used Windows' "safely remove hardware" option).
So I bought this JumpDrive Firefly and tried it out. It is rather slow, probably the slowest USB drive I've used. But all files check out ok, so at least the integrity of your files is preserved, and that's what counts the most.

Jumpdrive Firefly 2GB Reviews
Works GREAT for the average person! . I love this because it is SMALL. I use an Apple at work and having 2 gigs to hold my files in is awesome. The speed is fine for me, I'm not Jack Bauer trying to avert a nuclear meltdown where nanoseconds count, I just need it to store and retrieve MSOFFICE docs, JPGs, and MP3s. This is a good price on Amazon; I bought mine at an office supply store on sale for $39.99. This is nice because it's half the size of others. Plus, the clear case snaps on securely- with hundreds of times taking it on and off, it's still secure. Overall a very well made little piece of geekdom.

Lot of space - Slow updates . Drive works well with Windows XP Professional. It is noticably slow in updating larger files (i.e. 2MB spreadsheets).
Jumpdrive Firefly 2GB Opinions
Good transfer storage . I just picked up a new Dell laptop that is not connected to the internet and needed a go between from my old internet desktop to the Dell. The FireFly works great and I don't have the slow data transfer some people seem to have, and my desktop is 10 years old???
The only problem I have noticed is that the Firefly is short and when you have other usb connectors in the area it can be a pain to plug and unplug.
This is the most storage (actually 1.8) that you can get for the bucks, and higher (4 and 8 Gig) models seem to have problems and cost much more per Gig. Note: I have been using computers since the early 70's kit days (Kay and Roberts) and am a retired Electro/Mechanical Engineer and CAD Designer and Manager, so believe what you will. Also, in most cases the slow data transfer rates some people notice is due to their computer, not the storage device, and undue lateral (side) loads on the unit WILL split it apart if you try hard enough.

Works great! . I'm not quite sure what everyone's problem is with this drive. It works perfectly for me. I'm very happy with my purchase on the amazon marketplace. I just did a test and I copied a 62mb file to this flash drive in about 14-15 seconds. I don't know what the standard is .. but it seems pretty fast for me.
Fast small and reliable ... . Over the years I've used many different brands of jump drives. I find Lexar jump drives among the top performers. I have two of these 2GB Jumpdrive Firefly drives. They work great, are fast, and highly reliable.
Like any other drives, every few months I run a disk clean and wipe (erase) the free space. Even small jump drives benefit from periodic maintenance.
The Lexar Jumpdrive Firefly is small but very sturdy and a consistent performer. Great value.

I like the case. . The cap connects to my keyholders and the body snaps out of the cap. My earlier thumb drive required me to remove the keyholder from my key wallet when I wanted to use it. This one is easier and faster to use.
One thumb drive has always worked pretty much like any other thumb drive, but this one sometimes did not want to be recognized. I do not know why. I have had to reformat it a couple of times and did lose some data, but that may have been due to fiddling around with Linux files on it more than with the drive, itself. I also have learned to ground myself by touching bare metal on my tower before plugging the thumb drive into the computer, and that seems to have made things much better.
Generally, it works well. I bought it because it was at a very good price and I wanted to boot Puppy Linux 4.1 from a thumb drive. I needed an extra drive for that, but it did not work for me.

Cons Review
Buyer Beware - Underperformer . This drive is beyond slow. I initially purchased this drive because I wanted a larger drive than the one I currently own (a 1GB Memorex). When I connected it to my computer and started to transfer a briefcase with 226MB of data, that's when I noticed how poor the speed was.
At 226MB of data my existing 1GB Memorex was written to in about 3.5 minutes. But it took nearly over an hour to copy the same data to the Lexar Firefly 2GB. When I wrote Lexar Tech Support an e-mail about this slow speed, they suggested I exchange it for another one. I did this but the slow speed was still there. Here are the results for this drive measuring with Sisoftware Sandra:
SiSoftware Sandra Benchmark Results
Combined Index : 244 operation(s)/min
Endurance Factor : 1.0
512B Files Test : 269 operation(s)/min
32kB Files Test : 270 operation(s)/min
256kB Files Test : 219 operation(s)/min
2MB Files Test : 79 operation(s)/min
64MB Files Test : 3 operation(s)/min
As you can see it's extremely poor. I phoned Lexar Tech Support this morning and a support specialist told me the drive was unrated, and that it would be slower to write to than a 1GB drive; plainly a false statement.
In all, this drive may have great data integrity, but it is VERY slow. Do not expect to be able to use this drive for portable applications. Also expect to sit around for a couple of hours if you plan to copy large amounts of data to this drive.

Fell apart in my hands after week 3 of ownership . Kept it on my keychain, don't do much in the way of abusing it--it stays in my front pocket or hanging from my bulletin board. I plug it in about once a day on average. I noticed as soon as I took it out of the package that the case was a bit-- well, you could sort of *move* it under your fingers. Tonight I pulled it out of my computer tower and both halves fell apart in my hand, leaving the guts exposed. It was fun to look at but I expected better build quality.
Slow as molasses, falls apart in less than a month--experiencing some real buyer's regret right now.

Not very good . I don't use thumb drives a lot but when I do it's because I have to carry a big file (usually a software installation program). I carry it for times downloading takes too long. I have had two Firefly 4GB drives for about a year. But with this unit I wind up downloading again almost every time, it does NOT maintain file integrity. At least 5 times I've had to rewrite or re-download files. Can't recommend it.
