Adorable novelty flash drive . I bought a blue monkey and a pink monkey for stocking stuffers for my adult children. They loved them! Not only are they cute, they are practical because it's easy to tell one flash drive from another. I also bought a koala bear flash drive AMP 8GB Koala USB Flash Drive - Endangered Species Series and a ninja flash drive Ninja USB Flash Drive 4GB for Xbox 360 and PS3. These were a big hit!
BLACK super cute monkey USB flash drive 4GB Reviews
love my monkey! . I love my MONKEY! Had it for a few weeks already. Files load easily and stay. The only defect is that the metal thingy tends to slide it when pulling the head away from the body... but aside from that. I love it! =)

Handy but cantankerous . Easy way to add an extra drive to your laptop. I didn't use the disk drive very much so this makes the real estate more valuable.
I have two of these. One with an ssd and one with a standard spinning platter.
Installation is very simple. Two flush screws secure a narrow plastic bar that secures the hard drive in place. Make sure you push the hard drive in all the way (i didn't at first).
Once you have two hard drives (the normal one and the one in your new caddy) installed at the same time, there will be an additional boot screen that adds a couple of seconds to the process by asking you which drive you want to boot from.

The only con is trying to remove the caddy from the laptop. With the disk drive, there is a click to extend pull tab that locks the disk drive in and aids you in its removal. There is no such thing on this caddy. There is really no easy way, that I have found, to remove this caddy once it is in. There is a VERY small (scale= 30 year old 6 ft+ 200 lb+) "removal" notch that reminds me why children were used in manufacturing for soo long. With me, it takes some cajoling and usually involves me breaking the face plate off once or twice.

So all in all, if you don't plan on removing the caddy in front of people, there are no issues.

This review is from : QNAP 4-Bay Desktop Network Attached Storage TS-419P
Works great - Make sure you get the right disks . I'll keep this short & to the point:
Time of ownership: ~8 months.
Documentation is good - there's a quick start guide that gets you going reasonably quickly. It's geared towards PC users, but I was able to suss out the steps for OS-X. There are a lot of steps though, be sure to follow the QSG carefully.
The hardware itself is decent, I had some issues with fitment (sliding drive trays in and out), but once I got the hang of it, things went fine. It's reasonably quiet, though since it's a NAS, it's in my basement.
The software is excellent for a NAS neophyte, easy to use, full featured. You have the option of desktop client or web-based administration. Having a bit of system administration experience helps with the more advanced management (folder permissions, etc). But the basic elements are easy enough for a low/mid-level computer user to set up (and if you're buying this, you're probably not a complete n00b anyway). There are some nice advanced features such as SNMP support and the ability to gain shell access and install your own software (there's a decent plugin community).
So far, it's been flawless in performance (aside from the caveat below), excellent throughput and I've had no issues with it in my mixed Mac/PC/iPhone/network-enabled DVD environment. The few limitations I've run into are mainly on the client site (the media player client in my LG Blu-Ray player isn't quite ready for prime time).
QNAP Support has been excellent - they've gotten back to me in short order with my issues and their support forums are active and helpful.
They do release firmware updates from time to time with new features and new disk support.

Now for the issue - The QNAP appliance is not compatible with all SATA drives. They have a hardware compatibility list on their website, and it's not entirely accurate. I found out the hard way that Western Digital "Green" drives are not compatible, even though they're listed. With the WD drives, I experienced frequent lockups and had troubles even initializing the drives in the first place. Some research on the QNAP forums would have highlighted this before I'd made the purchase. I replaced the WD drives with the forum-recommended Hitachi drives and had no troubles at all from then on.

Since this was pretty much an RTFM issue, I'm not going to ding the product - So far, it's been outstanding. I can easily see myself buying another one when this one fills up.
QNAP 4-Bay Desktop Network Attached Storage TS-419P Reviews
Amazing product for the pricepoint . If you need serious storage, take a long look this NAS. I was using a RAID 5 array in my server. I had it running with a hot spare and it had preserved my data very well over the last 5 years. Then one day I lost the MBR and poof! - all gone. No hard drives failed so not even a RAID 6 config would have worked; they were just bereft of data. Possible to recover? Probably, but really expensive. I had backed up the critical files to an external smaller USB drive, but lost lots of data that was less critical - yes the stupid does burn. Obviously, a RAID 5 setup does you no good if it fails in total, unless you have a lesser (less costly) but equal sized storage system. Also, it was a lot slower than this NAS.

So now my new plan is 8TB of storage on this baby with (4) 2TB external drives to back it all up - RAID 1 the hard way. It would have been nice to have two of these with 16TB total backing each other up but that was out of my budget. It's quite fast and easy to setup. Admin is straightforward and all web-based. One of the features I really like is scheduled shutdown and power up. Not so much to save electricity which is low-end compared to a desktop system, but to save wear and tear on the gear. There are a pile of great features but I will not replicate them here. If you are geeky enough to buy one of these for home, then you can find your way to the QNAP website <grin>.

Minor Cons:
You can't carve out logical storage and break up a physical 2TB drive into two 1TB logical drives.
After auto power up, the external USB drive plugged into the NAS (which does not turn off) does not rejoin the NAS device list. You have to power cycle the USB drive while the NAS is running. The eSATA drives do not have this issue.
QNAP 4-Bay Desktop Network Attached Storage TS-419P Opinions
Reliable Friendly Effective . Overall I am pleased with this NAS. It is smaller then I expected from the photos (not a bad thing) and is well built. The latches on the drive bays could have been a bit more solid, the locks are really just there to prevent accidental drive removal, but will do little to no good against forced entry.

QNAP's web administration software is very handy and pretty much all configuration can be done via this interface with the option of manual command line tweaking if you are into that sort of thing. QNAP supplies a QPKG utility to install new applications, one of which is IPKG which can open the door to a lot of other optware packages. This is an ARM processor model, so any third party code would have to be cross-compiled, but I'm happy with what came stock.

This model is CPU bound for performance. Using 3 Seagate 2TB 5900 rpm green drives in raid-5 took about 17 hours to initialize. I suggest using efficient drives over performance models due to the limitations of the NAS not even coming close to saturating these lower performance drives. My main use is SMB/AFP shares where I consistently get about 45MB/s read and 25-30MB/s writes over gigabit which is quite acceptable. During heavy writes, the CPU is pegged so it shows the limitations of this model (I can't imagine using the slower CPU in the lower models).

To keep the review short, I'm pleased with its reliability and features so far. QNAP is continually developing the firmware and I have had no problems with errors or downtime to date.
Amazing Gem . Honestly I'm not even sure why QNAP hasn't utterly trounced it's competition if it's products are all like this one. VERY reasonably priced, extremely full-featured, easy to set up, fantastic performance, just an all around winner. Drobo, Buffalo, Netgear - all are either shoddy quality or way overpriced or both compared to this unit. Buy this now - you will not regret it.
Powerful feature rich NAS with steep learning curve . I upgraded from previous fan-less QNAP models (TS-109 II, TS-119) to the TS-419P. The 419P was my first introduction to data redundancy/RAID arrays, and I can say that while it did come with a bit of a learning curve, I have completely grown into relying on this product. The 419P is an outdated model and has been replaced with newer versions (check out [...]). I've been impressed with the firmware updates - not necessarily a sign that the products are buggy, but rather QNAP invests in supporting their hardware, and won't leave you behind the same way Western Digital does with their obsolete products (WD TV Live anyone?) Granted, QNAP products are no where near as plug and play-friendly as other mainstream solutions like WD, Seagate, and Synology NAS solutions. In order to appreciate QNAP, you have to enjoy tinkering with the box and adjusting settings. It does not hurt to know how to navigate Unix command line or telnet to remotely administer the box. If any of this sounds intimidating to you, you would most likely benefit finding a mass market-friendly NAS solution from Best Buy so you can save yourself some headache. But for those willing to learn, customize and experiment, the QNAP products (particularly the TS-419P) deliver way more value and advanced features than any other NAS on the market.
24/7 reliable Linux NAS server . I purchased this baby on July 18, 2010 & since then, I have no problem with updating firmware & stuff:

Pros:
-High quality chassis (even feels a little heavy without HDDs cuz of all metal this thing was made of)
-High quality components, Prosessor (Marvel), RAID controller (I don't recall its manufacturer's name), excellent 2 Ethernet connectors & a very rock solid (PSU/power brick) that's survived many power surges & power offs
-3TB HDDs compatible
- and more

Cons:
- Doesn't wipe my @$$ in the bathroom

Oh, one more thing: don't let some other stupid reviews stop you from googling about stuff you're interested in

Finally, if you're into one of these. I extremely recommend the newer models for you. just go to QNAP dot COM & dig more for details & other things those NASes are capable of

Cons Review
DO NOT BUY FROM QNAP . DO NOT BUY FROM QNAP!!

This is a terrible product. It shipped to me with dated firmware which I promptly updated. The updated firmware has known bugs which after several unsuccessful attempts to get support from QNAP resulted in rolling back to the dated firmware it shipped with. ...which also had known bugs, just different ones... This thing is garbage - spotty operation, unreliable and combine that with almost no documentation and you'll spend hours on their forums trying to figure out how to configure the thing not to have numerous internal conflicts.

Make your like easy and DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT or any other from QNAP.

The GoFlex Pro ultra-portable drive delivers premium backup with encryption, which automatically and continuously helps protect all the files on your computer. The preloaded software also allows you to easily sync files between your computer and GoFlex Pro drive, so that you will have the latest files while on-the-go. The GoFlex Pro includes a desktop USB 3.0 dock and a travel case. But this is no ordinary external drive. As the core of the GoFlex Storage System, the GoFlex Pro drive is the world’s most versatile external drive allowing it to deliver a truly customizable experience.

This review is from : Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Pro 500 GB USB 2.0 Ultra-Portable External Hard Drive STAD500101 (Black)
Important clarification on USB 2.0 vs. 3.0 . Hello, just to clarify the information that the first two reviewers complained about... this model can be purchased with a USB 2.0 or 3.0 cable. Although the 3.0 cable is compatible with a USB 2.0 port, it is only going to run at increased speed if your computer has a high speed USB 3.0 port. In other words, you could invest in the cable now in hopes of upgrading in the future, but if you only have USB 2.0 port on your computer you will only get 2.0 speed until you upgrade your port. Seagate offers a kit to do this for a laptop at a reasonable price but I'm not sure about doing a conversion on a PC, you'd probably just need a newer model PC/hard drive that comes with the high speed USB 3.0. This information is available if you do your homework on the Seagate site, which offers many cable options for this system and gives a lot of explanation of how they can be used. I think it is unfair to rate this item so low due to not fully understanding the differences among the cables and what the terms mean. I would suggest anyone interested in this system to check out the Seagate site for more technical information as well as customer reviews and cnet.com for objective reviews by industry experts. Seagate also gives a great overview with written content and also video explaining the entire GoFlex system and the different models & options available, which are compatible with Mac, PC, in home networks, sharing over internet, and playing stored content directly on your TV. It's pretty innovative.
Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Pro 500 GB USB 2.0 Ultra-Portable External Hard Drive STAD500101 (Black) Reviews
Premium Memeo software + 7200rpm drive = Good value . I bought this drive today at Best Buy. Originally went there to buy anything but Seagate. I had earlier purchased the non-Pro version of the GoFlex drive which only had the "Instant Backup" version of the Memeo software included. Memeo wanted $50 to upgrade to the "Premium Backup" version and another $30 for sync capability. Both are included with this GoFlex Pro drive and you get a 7200rpm drive as well for about $20 more than the non-Pro drive. Not a bad deal. I have several other Seagate backup drives and have been generally pleased. I trashed a 1TB "Go" model the other day when I dropped it about two feet onto a hardwood floor. My fault but I was a bit surprised that it couldn't take such a short fall. I'll give Seagate another chance with this drive however. Time will tell. I do like the Premium software included. I especially like how Memeo has integrated itself with Windows Explorer. You can simply right click any drive, folder, or file in Explorer and add it to your backup plan. Makes changes easy. Would definitely recommend this drive with the Premium software.
Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Pro 500 GB USB 2.0 Ultra-Portable External Hard Drive STAD500101 (Black) Opinions
Disappointment . I was very impressed with the speed in which my Seagate hard drive arrived to my home. However, Seagate really needs to improve the software they installed on it. The Memeo program is horrible. I am not a novice when it comes to computers and the software installed was extremely confusing for me to use. The program would run for days and days and never fully complete a backup. After weeks of contacting Seagate, I finally formatted the hard drive and installed a third party program to help me use the drive.
Versatile drive . This is a good drive and versatile with the different ports available. Bought mine with the standard USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 and they both work great. I use this drive for personal uses on my PC and LED TV as well as for work to run virtual machines. It's one of the only ones with 7200 rpm which is critical to me. Overall a good product
Performs Well . This drive is a good fast portable travel hard drive. Bought this with the powered eSata connector. Note that the connector as other reviewers pointed out requires the eSata/USB port. It draws power from the USB lines, and uses the eSata for communications link. It will not work in a standard eSata port.

Using HDTach, the drive saturates the link at 32.1 MB/s burst and 28.8 MB/s average read when connected through USB2.0. When connected to eSata, it runs at 174.6 MB/s burst and 92.8 MB/s average read.

Since the read speed starts at ~115 MB/s and drops down to ~60 MB/s in the typical spinning hard drive curve, I can tell it is not saturating the eSata (as would be expected). I would only "upgrade" to a USB3.0 connector if a newer laptop had USB3.0 instead of Powered eSata. For this drive, it has no real benefits over eSata currently. The USB3.0 would of course be better than a USB2.0 connection.

The carrying case that comes with is adequate for my traveling needs. No need to buy an extra case for my needs.

I have had no issues with this drive, and would buy it again.
Love USB 3.0!! . This is one of the best portable hard drives I've owned (and I've owned a lot of them! :-) :-( ). Comes with the USB 2.0 interface (which I haven't used), and I bought the e-SATA and USB 3.0 dongles for it. Very fast on either interface. Consistently getting 40-50 MByte transfer speeds with 10-50 meg photo files (big JPEGs, RAW, and TIFFs) on USB 3.0. Better going into my desktop machine using the Buffalo Technology DriveStation SuperSpeed USB 3.0 PCI Express 2-Port Interface Card IFC-PCIE2U3 but not bad with the IOGEAR SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ExpressCard GEU302 (Black/Silver)on the laptop either. e-SATA works similarly on both machines. Since this is a 7200 RPM drive, that helps too.

Why not five stars? The dongles and no desktop cradle for USB 3.0. For both USB 3.0. and e-SATA, the adaptors have a short cord on them that is permanently attached to the SATA adapter that connects to the drive itself. Why couldn't they have just put a USB 3.0 micro jack on that SATA adapter and forgotten about the cable? Just a hassle to have it sticking out, and I usually put the USB 2.0 mini adapter back on for storage (which doesn't have a cable on it; go figure!) just so the cord doesn't get bent over when packed. Also, the only desktop cradle available is for USB 2.0. Come on, Seagate! Why do you think we bought this drive instead of the regular GoFlex?

Anyway, drive and interface are very fast, drive is compact and comes with a nice little storage sleeve for travel (as long as you don't leave your USB 3.0 dongle on it). I'm loving the USB 3.0 world.
Great Product . I bought one of these about a year ago and it has worked with no issues, so when I saw one on Amazon for a great price I had to buy a second one. The drive is really fast. With Firewire adapter i get a constant 60-70 mb transfer rate on my macbook pro.
Simple to use 750 GB drive. Nice & portable . Straight-forward software interface (if you choose to use it), drive works well now for 3+ months and looks sleek to carry around w/ my laptop.

Cons Review
Corrupted within a month . Bought this item a month ago. Corrupted within a month. Called Seagate as the disk contained valuable information, all gone. They say they can recover the data, however the limited warranty does not cover data recovery. Nice scam. Sell a poor quality disk, then once corrupted, charge the customer again double the disk cost for data recovery services. Rubbish piece of equipment. Rubbish warranty and company service standards. Just a scam.
I have been asked to review. Never have. I have spent $30 000 here at Amazon. But this Agent? . I never do reviews. Don't have time. But I owe it to my friends out there that buy computer parts to NOT touch this. I returned products to Best Buy after ordering this SEAGATE FREEAGENT GOFLEX PRO "3.0" deception.IT IS NOT A 3.0. It is an upgradeable 2.0 and there is a big difference. I got my exact same upgradeable 2.0 at Best Buy for under $80. I lost about $40 thinking I was getting the new release. The box of this product was so beat up you could tell they were very old stock and should have been on the reduced shelf like Best Buy had done to make room for incoming 3.0 GoFlex Pros. If you want USB 3.0 and 7200RPM then WAIT until you know it is the real thing. Amazon you are awesome! You trust me all the time and refund based on that trust. I DO NOT LIKE TO SEE YOUR REPUTATION TAKE A HIT BECAUSE OF THE DISHONEST COMPANIES OUT THERE. A big case in point is HDMI cables! I lived in China for 12 years and you wouldn't believe what goes on. Hong Kong, before China took them back was the world's first "Buy Cheap Here and Maybe You Will Get The Real Thing".

Uninterrupted backup . We recently purchased the all new StorCenter px12-350r Network storage for our educational institute. This is the new leader in the market and is unique to Iomega. The device can be used for server virtualization, disk backups, video surveillance, production data stores, among others. The biggest plus of the px12-350r is that it supports Avamar deduplicating backup. Let me explain, Avamar allows uninterrupted backup and self recovery services which make it easier for end users like us to restore data effortlessly. It also means that there is no need for double backup of data which has drastically reduced our backup time. Using this not just my desktop and laptop data but even data from mobile, iPad can be protected.

This review is from : Seagate FreeAgent Go Special Edition 640 GB USB 2.0 Portable External Hard Drive and Docking Station ST906403FNA2E1-RK (Black with Chrome Trim)
A great stylish portable drive . I've been through a few external drives - WD Pocket drives, WD raid drives, HP Portable media drives, but the Seagate Freeagent GO is definitely my favorite. It's a very thing and stylish drive which is very reliable (and fast!), with a capacity big enough to hold all of your documents.

Compared to my WD Raid and HP Portable media drives, this one is by far the fastest (copying data through the same connector at almost twice the speed). It's also very stylish and easy to take with you wherever you go.

I originally purchased the normal Freeagent GO drive but after filling it, looked into the Freeagent GO Special Edition for my next drive.

The drive and connectors are all the same - the difference is a chrome trim along the sides, and a glossy black dock. The trim wasn't important to me (although was nice to help differentiate it from my plain black Freeagent GO), but the Dock was very nice. The dock is only available (outside of this package) in a matte white/grey color, not really blending with any of the drives outside of the Silver color. The glossy black dock matches the style of the drive and really gives an overall great appearance.

The dock uses 2 USB ports (although only one is necessary - the 2 USB ports are for older computers which can't power and transfer data with 1 cable). You can also choose to connect the USB cable directly to the drive, bypassing the dock.

One big difference (to me) was the lack of a case for the drive - if you buy the Dock separately in stores, you get a free faux-leather case to hold the drive. This was actually the selling point for me when buying the drive in the first place. The Special Edition only includes the drive, USB cable and the dock (no case). Keep this in mind if you decide to go for this version!

The drive has not given me any issues so far - something I cannot say about my WD raid drive - it's quiet and does just what it's supposed to.

Which version would I recommend? Normal or Special edition?

For looks? Special Edition - the black dock makes a big difference.

If you don't care about looks, or don't plan to use the dock, go for the regular one. It's cheaper, looks just fine and if you do decide to get a dock later on, you'll still be paying less than what the Special Edition costs, and you'll get a case out of it.
Seagate FreeAgent Go Special Edition 640 GB USB 2.0 Portable External Hard Drive and Docking Station ST906403FNA2E1-RK (Black with Chrome Trim) Reviews
Solid Easy to Use and Stylish . Introduction

I wanted to have an external portable drive (EHDD) that would not require another power cord, as I will be traveling it is a great benefit to be able to back up files and store other important files on an easy to access portable external EHDD. I also needed a lot of space, something that a year ago was out of my price range. However, [...] was having a sale and this only cost around $110, which was perfect. The Black/Chrome version (which I bought) comes with a dock that you can use to hook the EHDD to, I've only used it a couple times, but it works as advertised, though it does need to use two USB's instead of one.

Appearance

This device looks good, it doesn't smug that much due to the finish on the top and bottom, though the sides will get some finger prints on it, it shouldn't matter that much and it is easy to clean with a cloth or shirt. The EHDD has a glowing light that strobes slowly, indicating if the drive is in use. This is nice, though I wish it was more pronounced and that they used the smaller Seagate logo to indicate this instead of the radiating patter of dots. Overall, the design works, which is what it comes down to.

Construction quality

The build quality is good, but not spectacular. The sides are quite solid and feel like they can handle being hit; the material used for the top and bottom feels a bit weaker. But for all intents and purposes, unless you are continuously dropping this device from heights, it should hold up well.

Ease of installation

I am using Windows 7 64-bit Enterprise. On my machine it was a plug n' play affair, the only installation comes from the optional Seagate software (remember to go into Services on Windows if you don't want the FreeAgent executable running in the background all the time). The software has some useful features (standard backup, etc.) as well as the ability to change some settings on what the device will do (such as turning off the light). Overall it is a pretty standard affair, but one that gets the job done and is easy to customize (what you want to backup, when, etc.).

Ease of use

As stated above, minimal install (the setup is on the EHDD and you can run the .exe from there). It is a drag n' drop external EHDD, standard affair. Although, some people might be irked by the short USB cable, it uses a standard mini-USB connection, so you can just use one of your longer cables (from a camera, mp3 player or whatever other device you have a mini-USB cable for). Transferring data is relatively fast, it is not an e-SATA connection, just a USB 2.0, so don't expect blazing fast speeds, but unless you need to transfer enormous amounts very quickly, this should suit your purposes of backing up data or using it to play media.

Reliability

I have had no problems with this EHDD so far, but I can't give it 4 stars for reliability until I have had it for a longer period of time. I will update the review (with 5 stars for reliability) if this drive continues to perform well and doesn't have any problems.

Overall/Conclusion

This is a solid drive; it is compact, easy to use, and so far has got the job done. Do some shopping around on the internet to make sure you get it for the best price. If you have any specific questions, let me know in the comments questions and I will try to answer as best I can.
Seagate FreeAgent Go Special Edition 640 GB USB 2.0 Portable External Hard Drive and Docking Station ST906403FNA2E1-RK (Black with Chrome Trim) Opinions
Great Stuff . This piece is very quiet and the backup is VERY FAST.

It is also very smart in that once a folder is backed up and you want to back it up again, the equipment will only backup the new files within that folder (ignoring the old ones already backed up), which saves you plenty of time!

It comes with a software that will manage backup date for you. I found it annoying at first, but then I actually got to love it more a few days later. I can tell it when to backup (hour and day) and what files to backup.

Using this device is very easy and just takes common sense. I highly recommend it.
Drive works perfectly... . This drive makes almost no noise at all. I like that everything is black and silver. I sold my Western Digital drive to get this one, and I am very happy with it. I also like that only one cord needs to be plugged in for it to be used. Thanks Seagate.
Easy To Use . If you need to enlarge your disk storage, this is a perfect solution.
Easy to install easy to use, just plug it into two of your USB ports and use away. Great way to share files between to different computers.

I got this because it is designed to travel, less risk of loosing your data from bigger external drives.

My LapTop HD is rather small and I can't add a whole lot of new files that are very large. But with this drive no problem.
Good product for the price. . A sturdy, well-constructed, aesthetically pleasing USB hard drive, for a good price. I formatted mine, to use it as a standard USB hard drive, although it does come with a automatic-backup software suite you can use, if you want to.
Seems good but I'm disappointed with advertised space. . Seagate FreeAgent Go 640 GB USB 2.0 Portable External Hard Drive with Dock ST906403FNA2E1-RK (Black/Chrome) seems great so far the only down side is that it actually only stores about 595gb not anywhere near 640gb advertised now I know most memory devices lose some space due to formatting and software but this is a bit too much. I am also a bit confused about how the software works.
A beauty all around!!! . When I received this HDD, I could not believe my eyes. It is a beautiful, aesthetically extremely pleasing drive: The ruby red, slender drive with mirror look, dark chrome sides and the jet black docking station lights up in a star light fashion when it is turned on, absolutely gorgeous! What a treat, I am proud to display this drive to everyone, just for the looks! It can be used without the docking station, of course. The docking station has a double usb cable, I assume to give more power, but this may be a problem if you're short of slots. I have not tried running the drive with only one usb plug. Of course the drive is also extremely easy to set up and use, a cinch. The manual (on the drive) is very easy to use and understand, even for a non techie such as myself. I have not yet used the included film making software but noted the extra software (optional) takes up a lot of hard drive space on my already cramped laptop. The drive comes with a 5 year limited warranty, another thing I really like. I am very satisfied with my purchase, but I paid only around $100 for the whole package, so it may be worthwhile to wait for a sale that includes the docking station for around $100.
very good product . Not much to do to get start. Easy to follow direction. Only had it for a couple of months but love having it so handy. I also purchase one for my son who is 37years old he loves it as well.

Cons Review
Avoid this product. . Im very dissapointed with seagate.

The hard drive works for a couple of months before you realize your data is corrupt.

This unit has a really big bug in the firmaware, maybe in the hard disk itself inside the
slim enclosure.

You need to reformat in a regular basis so your data dont get corrupted, Pathetic !

Avoid it.
