GREAT DRIVE! WD all the way! . I've been using Western Digital and Seagate hard drives since the beginning of computers, and to this day, neither of them has let me down. Currently, all of my mass storage database systems are running either Seagate or Western Digital drives (however more of them are Western Digital). So far, no issues whatsoever. If they continue the way they have been, I'll be a customer for a very long time.
The drive is tiny and light weight. When I received it in the mail, I literally thought the box was empty. Until I opened it and saw the tiny WD box inside, I though Amazon.com messed my order up (which has never happened before). Right now, I'm storing critical files to it (using this computer); so far no problems. The drive runs silent and somewhat cool. The visually appealing LED white hard drive activity light is nice.

Great Product! . I recently got a new computer but the internal hard drive was too small for what I needed. Rather than spend a bunch of money to have someone replace it with a larger one, I bought the WD external hard drive. When I opened the package, I was surprised at how small it was. This wasn't a problem because that made it easier for me to decide where to put it. I can leave it on my desk, stand it up next to my computer, unplug it and put it away at night, etc. It is compact, comes with the USB power cable and has an indicator light. So far, I have stored almost 100 gigs of files on it. I use it for my Program Files, My Documents, store all the data from my website and use it for my FTP server. I really love this little thing!

Just as advertised! . Plug and play on my two working XP machines (Dell 8400 and Acer Aspire One netbook), only ONE USB port needed. Yes! (I wanted a 250 GB drive to carry between machines.) The cord is too short, but that problem is solved via a USB extension cable: I bought the Amazon-made gold-plated 3-footer. So you get the best of both worlds!

Works Great . I purchased the Western Digital portable Hard Drive to back up music, pics and files on my old computer for transfer to my new computer. It was a cinch to save and transfer files. No problems.
