Speed is ok body feels cheep looks good though . I got 28mbps read and 6mbps writing speed on a >>>USB 2.0<<< slot. (My USB 1.0 only reached 1mbps writing)
It feels super light. The black body is actually just light/cheap plastic. Although the chrome finish on the side looks quite nice. It has a bright blue light that flashes when being used, I like it. The locking/sliding mechanism seems pretty stable, but when you shake it the locking mechanism rattles because of something loose. Overall its a pretty functional and stylish USB flash drive, but could use some harder/denser plastic for the body.

A-DATA C702 8 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive 8GC702BK (Black) Reviews
Great item for the price . This drive was one of the cheapest I can find on line about 5 months ago. It has worked every time I needed it. The only thing I noticed is the construction quality seems a little cheap. But given that, it has not broke down on me yet. I will update you if anything bad happens to it but so far it is working just fine.

A-DATA C702 8 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive 8GC702BK (Black) Opinions
Simple functional flash drive . This was the most inexpensive flash drive at the time I purchased it. That distinction never lasts long though, so look around.
Pros:
- Inexpensive
- It works
- Sturdy loop for use with key rings
- I like the spring loaded extend/collapse mechanism for the drive head. No caps to lose, and better protection than the swinging types. Was initially concerned about it collapsing while inserting into a USB port, but it locks into place pretty well and the slider needs to be pressed down a little (to unlock) before sliding it down in order to move the drive head back in - very intuitive.
Cons:
- Not the most compact out there
- Looks plain
- Mild rattle; doesn't worry me, but it shouldn't be there

it just works . It looks good. It's well built. And it works just like a flash drive should. I have had no problems with this product what so ever. It holds all the data I store in it. It doesn't come with the annoying U3 software. and you can hang it on your keychain. This is probably the best flash drive for the value I have ever bought. It does the job right. I defiantly recommend it.
So Far So Good . Would have given this item a higher rating, but it took nearly two weeks to arrive, although it showed in stock when I bought it. That sucked badly. They definintely need to speed up the mailing process. Didn't even put it in the mail for well over a week. This is absolutely unacceptable.
The flash drive is extremely light, and feels cheap in quality. But, for what it's worth, it seems to work fine. 16 gig for less than 30 bucks right now is a great price. I noticed while watching for the product to arrive over the past two weeks that the price has fluctuated quite a bit, and has changed several times. I have noticed it go up 5 dollars in price, back down a couple of bucks, and then back up again. Interesting how the price changes almost daily.
The port opens and closes and locks open and shut. The lock feels like it is cheap and could break any second, but works at the moment.
So far, I am very satisfied with the product. I hope it will last.

Cons Review
Waste of money . Pros: Retractable.Slim.Light.
Cons: Poor construction quality (rattling parts). EXTREMELY SLOW- took 5 hours to transfer the 16 MB folder with mixed files from my PC to this flash drive. Some files wouldn't transfer. Some ended up corrupted. I had to reformat the drive 4 times in just 2 days. Very mediocre tech support.
Fortunately I could return it to amazon.com for a full refund. I'll never buy A-Data again.
