Excellent transfer media between laptop and desktop. . Transferring large files such as multimedia presentations back and forth between a laptop and a desktop is a common chore for me, and one that has never been easy. The methods I have used include: 1)a laplink-type setup which involves plugging in cables behind inacessible computers and finding someplace to balance the laptop during the transfer 2) Burning a CD which is slow and requires CD-RW on both systems 3) A USB zip - 100 drive that can be plugged into either machine, but is too fragile and bulky to carry around. The Clik! (PocketZip) is both handy and easy to setup. I leave the PC-card it in the laptop where it functions as a backup drive for documents, and can easily be removed to transfer files via the dock between systems. Although I have large multi-media files, it is rare that they exceed the 40 MB disk capacity. I think it is an excellent solution, although I cannot yet vouch for the durability of the media.

Great accessory . Well, I got the PC card dock so that I could use the pocketzip pc card drive with my desktop computer... and it works perfectly. Windows ME recognises it as a USB drive, and I can copy files directly to it. Most of the time I use it to load up MP3 files for use in my hipzip, so that I don't have to keep plugging the player in. Now, however, there is a USB drive, so while the dock is still useful, if you don't have a laptop to use the card in, I'd just buy the USB drive. Also, you can unplug the dock with or without the card in it and plug it back in at whim without problems... it deactivated and reactivated flawlessly.I guess that's it... this is a great option for those who own or will own the PC card pocketzip drive and want to use it with their desktop.

Iomega Clik Dock a must for those on the go! . The small and nimble "clik" Dock is a must for anyone using the "Clik" PCMCIA drive. Once home you put your card in the dock connected to your desktop and the software does the rest. Easily transfer and backup files from a laptop to a desktop unit. Take the Dock on the road and use it on other systems to transfer data. The USB interface is compatible with most systems including Macintosh. The small profile of the dock and power supply really make this a portable "must have" item. When a ZIP is to big and a Floppy just isn't enough, the "Clik" is just right!
