Worth the money... . Simple solution that provides stable, crash-proof data on demand. The system is basic (a good thing) and virtually bullet proof. Interacts with Mac seamlessly, uses very little power, has a user-friendly dashboard, and runs nearly noise free. Expandable, with a small foot-print, the box is far from attractive but certainly less ostentatious than many competitors.
Overall, a great solution for a reasonable cost.

It worked like a charm. . I've been working on a research project, which had outgrown the 4TB drive I was using. Although I would have loved to get the Drobo S, with its 5 drives (for when my data inevitably exceeds 6TB) and faster ports, when the price on this bundle came down, I was able to buy it with 4x2TB drives and stay well within my budget. (If I had needed only 4TB, I could have used the two 1TB drives it came with plus two 2TB drives.)
I spent less than a day setting up and migrating my data, and the access seems as fast as any other USB device.
Its beyond-RAID affords me protection against hard-drive failure (which I haven't used yet).
Because it is formatted as 3 2TB drives, it can be accessed by XP computers which couldn't handle the 6TB as a single volume.
In short, it does everything I need, at a price I could afford.

Quiet Fast Looks Great . I have had zero issues with Drobo; setup, updates, and usage were straight forward and easy. I associated every directory on the Drobo to a Windows 7 library then shared through a homegroup, which means all home systems have instant, organized, streaming access to every shared file.

this is @#$%y deal . i like the drobo and as for buying everything in this bundle i have no problem with any of it. i think that these are good product. but a bundle should be cheap than the sum of the part not nearly 400 dollar more. the hard drive sale for 110 each and the drobo sales for 340. that is 780. the price on this bundle at this time is $1,172.80. how in that bleep bleep can you do that. do not buy this bundle.
