ACH105US Targus 4-Port Hub . PRO: compact, ports are well protected, looks good, feels even better
CON: no external light to indicate the connection is hot
Once this product gets into your hands, the first impression is WOW this product is sweet! From a tactile perspective, it feels really cool. From a visual perspective, it looks cool. And from a functionality perspective, it performs well. This is a one design that form has not overtaken but really worked to enhance the function of this product.
There are 2 big pluses for this hub. First, it is lightweight. Secondly, it is compact. The connector cable is designed into the hub so that it wraps around the body of the hub and serves as a protector to the ports, covering them when you travel or when the hub is not in use and properly stored. The connector cable is made of a rubberized plastic that is very flexible and just fun to touch, and yet rigid enough to be tucked out of the away into the hub body. This hub travels well, takes a beating, and stays wound up so that you will not find yourself either looking for the connection wires or being frustrated by their tangled mess.
The ports are evenly spaced and allow enough room for even the slightly wide jump stick. I liked the ports on the curve because these 2 spots allowed me to place irregular USB connectors in these slots and not loose another slot due to over lap.
The only con that I have run into is that there isn't an indicator light letting me know or rather, reassuring me that the hub has made a good, solid connection with the computer or equally, with any additional accessory to which it might be connected. This hasn't been a problem but there is a potential for it to be if we were stuck having to trouble shoot a faulty connection. Not having a connection indicator light eliminates the ability for the hub connections to be quickly checked off the list.
The color is a neutral gray so it can match or blend into most settings. It weighs in at less than 1.8 oz., which eliminates any question toting it in your briefcase or backpack.
It is a very clean, simple design for a very necessary piece for any road warrior.

Nice computer accessory . Nothing to say except that it works well and looks nice. I have an iMac with the USB ports behind the screen and it is a heavy 27" model;. I plugged in the USB cord of the Targus and have four USB ports to use sticking out below the computer without a lot of excessive cord. I can plug in my iPod touch, my flash drive etc. without moving everything. I am sure that other USB hubs would work as well, but this works fine and is my choice of equipment.

Nice and portable . I usually use multiple items (e.g., keyboard, mouse, USB drive) at once on my laptop. The hub easily winds around itself for travel (the USB port plugs into a storage socket) and mine works great even after tossing around in my backpack between uses. I am giving it 4 stars because my Macbook pro did crash once while using it. This used to happen a lot with another brand of USB hub so I wonder if the Targus is fully Mac compatible. Call it 4.5 stars because the rest of the time, it has worked flawlessly.

Good buy. . Everything works fine but my Epson Stylus Photo R290. My printer prints normally a few sheets, but when I print more than 30 sheets, shows me a connection error. If I plug the printer direct to my Mac Book, there are no problems. The other devices works without any problem. Instead I maintain plugged my printer there. Ah! The iPhone charges really slow through the hub.
Not for USB devices drawing a lot of power . I found this to be a good product for USB thumb drives and similar low energy products, but not for USB hard drives
Cons Review
Pass on this one . This hub is a waste of money... The hard rubber cord when opened presents a difficult to place port. Additionally the 1st and last plugs are on the curve of the body and are difficult to plug the standard usb cord into...
Targus mac usb hub . Does not work well with the imac...i suggest you get one with a power adapter as if you try to use it in the keyboard usb slot it wont work
Garbage . My Targus Hub is about 1 1/2 years old and does not work anymore. It started about 6 months ago....sometimes it would work and sometimes it did not. I had to giggle the rubber cord to make it work. Now it is totally dead. I did not abuse it or move it around....it was on my desk next to my macbook and hardly touched. TOTAL GARBAGE...I would stay away from this brand.
