QNAP 5-Bay iSCSI SATA Dual-LAN Network Attached Storage TS-559-PRO+-US Reviews
Great NAS for home use . First of all, this NAS is the third one I have owned. It is replacing a DNS-321, and currently I am also running an HP MediaSmart EX470.

The Pros
- I had no problem connecting it to my windows network, setup was done in less then 15 minutes
- The number of apps and quality for it are fantastic
- All my media players (Dlink EVA Elite, WD Live Media player had no problems finding the folders)
- The latest 3.4 firmware provided easy access to the internet for streaming
- Easy user security setup for folders
- Adding a RAID5 was soo smooth, I couldn't believe it.
- It has professional business network admin apps, but also ways to have a homeowner without network knowledge configure the app.
- Media streaming to your Android - a MUST! ok, iPhone too...

In short, exactly the non-event I expected from a new NAS

The cons
One major con: Twonky.. I do not understand the infatuation of all these NAS products with Twonky. It does not work for my library, it only handles limited files, and fails without telling why. I tried to run it on some standard AVI videos that play on my media servers, but yet Twonky somewhere failed and kept all drives engaged for hours, until I rebooted the server and turned it off. More information, a better UI and more stability is really needed. I could not even find which files it supports. One star drop for this one. Although I do not need it since I use folder browsing on my Media Players. I know my old Dlink DSM-320 Media Player will not be able to interact with the Qnap because I can't get Twonkey to work beyond my pictures.
The other thing, I can over the internet remote access Twonkey for streaming the media, but I can not seperate security for setup vs. photo/video/music streaming. Still seems it needs a lot of work.

In summary... I want a second one and replace my other NAS so I can Rsync between the two for device redundancy.
