This review is from : Kingston DataTraveler 108 16 GB Flash Drive (DT108/16GBZ)
DataTravelin ***UPDATED 9/29 . I own quite a few USB jump drives, and though they are all small, they don't always seem to be there when I need them. Either because I forgot to bring them with me or I intentionally did not bring them with me because I did not expect to need it.With this drive I can be assured I will always have it with me. Unlike other jump drives, this one is VERY small and makes perfect sense to put on your key ring. The other jump drives are small, but big enough to seem too clunky to be on a key ring. I hate carrying too much stuff with me. So I try and keep my key chain as clutter free as possible. This drive is perfect in that respect. The drive comes formatted in FAT32 which I prefer anyway since I use both Mac and PC frequently and I don't plan on storing files larger than 4GB. So it works out better for me to use FAT32. Transfer speeds seem to be faster compared to my other jump drives. This is the first drive I have owned without the circuit board protection, but it plugs in the same as any other USB jump drive. However, it doesn't seem very easy to open unless you have some length to you finger nails, which I don't. lol. Not a deal breaker though.I will mention this... I have in the past had other jump drives that I placed on my key ring and they never seem to be constructed well enough and wind up breaking. Luckily, I noticed when the drives had fallen off and did not lose them, but I'm constantly having to worry when that is going to happen when it comes to placing a jump drive on my key ring. That is not something I would like to have to think about.I thought that the picture of the loop being built into the frame seemed very study compared to other drives. I also made the assumption that it was made out of some sort of metal or steel, but I was wrong. It seems to be a very thin piece of plastic. I'm sure it will hold up better compared to others, but I honestly do not feel it is secure. I can see this eventually breaking in the future, and unlike the other drives that I noticed had fallen off my key ring after breaking, this drive is so small and light that I don't think I will even notice if it was to fall off.I mean, come on now! They're keys! Keys get thrown around, swung around, banged around while their hanging from your ignition, grabbed, dropped, constantly moving, etc. So I do not see why companies do not make a strong, secure loop on their drives to withstand such wear and tear that average keys go through.ProsVERY Small
VERY Light weight
Stylish
Fast
Doesn't take up much room on your key ring

Not the easiest to open upI would have given this product 5 stars if the lanyard loop felt more sturdy.Overall great drive with a few quirks that I would highly recommend!!***UPDATED 9/29I've owned this product for a while now and I will say that I love it!! Has been so handy as I knew it would. Also, this thing is NOT PLASTIC. It is metallic like. However, it is a VERY thin piece. Thin enough to make it feel like plastic. Also, just as I suspected, the construction doesn't seem to be withstanding the almighty power of the dropped keys scenario. The lid that flaps open on the drive has become loose. It doesn't stay fully closed any longer, but still has a grip to the point it doesn't completely open up. But its still not securely covering the leads on this drive anymore. The part around the loop as well seems to have this line starting to form across it. I was about to buy my family members one and also upgrade to the 16GB version (I currently only own the 8GB), but I think I will let this one play out a little longer to see how it is going to hold up. The lid loosening up just started to happen recently and I have a feeling it might go downhill very quickly. Who knows...it night not just be from the dropping, but maybe even just from opening and closing the lid as you normally would. Maybe even just doing that will eventually loosen it up to the point it is at now. Anyone else experiencing a loosened lid?
Kingston DataTraveler 108 16 GB Flash Drive (DT108/16GBZ) Reviews
It's very handy and it works very well . Kingston Technology is one of the foremost manufacturers of computer memory modules. The DataTraveler 108 is series of flash drives, coming in 4, 8 and this 16GB capacity. The case of the drive is made of sturdy aluminum, giving the drive a solid feel. Now, the coolest thing about this flash drive is that it has a cap that flips up like a mini-cell phone, meaning that you will never again lose the protective cap. I found the speed at which the drive works to be quite good. So, if you wish to tote around a flash drive, then I recommend you get this Kingston DataTraveler 108. With its no-cap design it is very handy, and it works very well. Admittedly, I am not a computer geek, but I know what I like, and I really like this flash drive. Kingston DataTraveler 108 16 GB Flash Drive (DT108/16GBZ) Opinions
Great compact drive . I love tiny USB flash drives. I used to carry flash drives on my key chain back when they are 128megs. I have lost a couple of them because either the the key ring hook was shabby or the ring hook was attached to the cover instead of the drive itself. This will not have the same problem as the key hole ring is attached strongly on the drive and constructed in aluminum. Not super fast but it performs decently. Still, my favorite is the Tiny and Tuff or the Super Talent in terms of small size. This drive on the other hand is much cheaper (at the time of this review) while still considered small. And it has a cover to protect the contacts.
Great little flash drive for the price. . Considering how cheap this product was for a 16 gig, I've had no problems except it being so small, I'm afraid of losing it. LOL
Not good as old Kingston devices . Bought this flash drive, because my DT 100 broke...It looks like Kingston lowered quality of their products.5 MB/s write speed - too low...
Quality is not as good as I thought...
great flash drive for the price from a reputable brand!!! . well my topic says it all!!! when you think flash drives you automatically think KINGSTON...KINGSTON has developed so much within these few years that it's impossible to not commend their desire to bring better and better products to the table...i bought a 16gb DT108 to merely test out how efficient my new skybox company is and i'm very pleased with my "testing" product...the DT108 is so small and convenient that it's like u dont even know you got it on you...(which for some people may be a bad thing as it can be easily misplaced) i suggest though that you get a flash drive lanyard or attach it to some kinda key holder you carry around with you often. the top part that protects the circuitry on the USB is made of a thin metal and the rest seems to be plastic...it does NOT feel cheap in anyway in your hands...from the moment you open the package and flip it open you'd realise how tiny and extremely light this flash drive really is. the light weight of this gives you the impression that if it falls it wont suffer that much damage for some strange reason overall i am very happy i purchased this product and will be looking into buying more to give as gifts to some of my friends and family for the holidays...
i bought a true Flash Drive . this my new experience in buying product online, i try to buy the cheap one, and off course can useful for me, i choose datatraveler from kingstone, and i buy a 16Gb size, i'm come from indonesia, for shipping i only wait for 7 days, and 9 days, i got this flash drive on my hand, and i have to write it to my blog : [...] for appreciate that i very satisfied with this product. thank you.

Xbox 360 . Works on the Xbox 360! Didn't see any reviews about using it on Xbox 360 so I took a chance and happy I did.
Kingston 16 GB DT 108 .... Nice . This is a very nice and sturdy small drive. All and all very good. I prefer the verbatim tuf n tin, but that is just me...
great item for a great price . this item was really convenient. the lid seems flimsy, but as long as ur careful it shouldnt break. It's light weight and it fits on your key chain, the loop might break easily so put a metal key ring on it first before putting it on your keys. Otherwise a great flash drive. It works on MAC and PC
