For example, continuous mode provides up to the minute back up, time interval mode gives the option of selecting back up options by the minute, hour or day, patterned schedule mode enables users to choose a certain day and time to perform back up duties. No problems . I bought this external an a whim because it was on sale and after have it a year, I am very pleased. I just plug it in and go. Even if I leave it plugged in for long periods of time, there are no overheating problems. My experience with this has been absolutely ideal.

Works just fine . Worked right out of the box, powered up through USB with Dell laptop. comes with only a 6 inch USB cable rather than 4 foot claimed in description. Initially formated in FAT32, I reformatted to NTFS (took 4 hours). It also has a pin for 5 volt DC power in case your laptop does not provide sufficient power.

A wonderful thing... . I really wanted more space than my 160gb notebook. Laptop Magazine reviews had it listed as editors pick which takes away some of the stress. So far I'm very happy.

What's all the FLAC about? . This compact external hard drive is great. I use it for my digital music collection and it holds oh so many FLAC files (among others). I've experienced no problems with it thus far and it's very simple to use; just plug it in and rock out!
Cons Review
Sweet...only while it lasted . I purchased this external hard drive to transfer my iTunes library. Only after 5 months the drive is useless and I am having the hardest time recovering the saved data, including over 4000 podcasts, many of them educational or from news which I cannot access any more. Seems like the internal components warmed up excessively and are not operational. Beware of this brand.
