When it comes to file storage, you want something as reliable as your favorite lovable robot. This metal USB flash drive features a delightful robot that just can't wait to pull its own head off to hold your data. The robot's head doubles as the flash drive cap, and is attached to the body via two springy "arms" so you cant't lose it. Comes pre-formatted with the FAT32 file system - compatible with nearly all operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux/Unix) and the Playstation 3 as well. Please note, actual storage capacity will be slightly under 8 gigabytes due to necessary format data inherent in any flash drive. Length: 7.5cm / 3in. Width: 5.5cm / 2.2 in.

Ultra-cute but needed a repair . The case is solid metal, nicely finished, and very, very cute. However, the drive itself is a straight USB stick that is held in place mostly by friction. The two units I bought came with the connector slid down inside the enclosure about 1/8", and as a result the connection to the computer wasn't reliable. I opened the robot up (easy, just two screws, but make careful note of how the arms and legs come out) and found that the drive was shorter than the hold-in-place thingies were designed for. The drive had been wrapped in tape for a tight fit, but still could move under force. I put the drive in the correct position, jammed a couple of toothpick pieces below it for reinforcement, and put everything back together. So far it has stayed put.

Great for a robotics kid . This was one of the favorite presents this year. My son competes in robotics competitions and just loved this flash drive.

Extremely Cute . When I first received this USB flash drive, it didn't work immediately, but when I plugged it into a different port it worked fine. It is way to heavy for it to actually stand up on it's own but I don't leave it out for display anyway as someone would likely steal it because it is so darn cute. I've had no issues with moving content on/off. If you want something more than you basic flash drive stick, this is a good way to go.

Love this little guy. . There must be a 1,000 USB Flash Drives available, but none are as cool as this one. If you are a fan of "GORT" from the (original) 1951 film "The Day the Earth Stood Still", then you HAVE to have one of these. Klaatu barada nikto, dude!

Cons Review
Looks cool doesn't work... . I bought one of these, got it brand new in the mail, tried to use it with my MAC but it doesn't work. The USB icon doesn't pop up on my desktop and my computer doesn't even register it. The same thing goes for other computers I tried it with. Got it replaced pretty easily, but the same thing was true for the replacement, and it's helmet was on backwards. Tried to get it replaced for a second time but this time they wanted me to mail back the original receipt (which I had long since lost) and the malfunctioning usb. Long story short, I've got 2 cool looking but useless usb drive and I'm out almost $30. Pass on this, buy from someone else.
Robot USB . I bought the flash drive as a gift for my brother. I haven't given it too him yet, but I think he'll think it's a good idea. I tried it on a friends mac and it didn't register. Then I tried it on my own and it took a while, but eventually it popped up on my desk top. So maybe it doesn't work for some. Another issue I have is that the cap doesn't stay on at all. I feel like maybe there is supposed to be some sort of magnetic pull keeping it on, or the arms should be less springy and more reliable as I hope a real robot might be, but no. The cap doesn't stay on.Im still giving it to him. It's not like he's my favourite brother.
