High performance nas server scales up to 24 drives for enterprise users

Same feature set as the 1511+ . Hi, just wanted to post some clarifying information regarding this unit (which I ordered today) for questions that I had answered by Synology.
1) Even though the product feature page for the 1511 and the 2411 are slightly different, both units have the same exact features. Basically, any of the stuff that people have written about that they can do with the 1511, can be done with the 2411. I know that it was *most likely* the case, but I wanted to be sure.
2) The unit has a different expansion connector, so you can't use a 5-drive expansion with this unit, only the 12 unit. The 5-drive is eSATA. Forgot what this one was.
3) The link aggregation only works with a managed switch where that can be set up. Apparently, it's somewhat complicated and usually not worth the effort to try and support it. E.g. it's hard to fill up a gigabit bandwidth, and the network hassles may be more than it's worth.

right now giving this 5-stars in anticipation of it being a 5-star product based on the 1511 reviews and how I expect it will fill my needs. Will adjust accordingly if need be.

to make it short: there is an ongoing issue where copying files via windows share just stops and results in a failed copy. As a user, you do not know whether this is an hardware issue, or a software issue and whether this effects your data in any way. This is the main functionality of a NAS and this has to work but sadly it does not (according to Synology you should leave the NAS running all the time to avoid this error ... not joking)
According to the above mentioned thread, some people have reported this issue in the 1st half this year and as of the latest update (yesterday), Synology was not able to fix the issue.
My advice is to avoid this hardware until they finally provide a fix.
