An awesome external floppy drive! . When I bought this drive, it was really inexpensive, it was less than $25.00. I absolutely love this drive. It plugs into a USB port very easily, and reads all my floppies with no problems at all. It has worked on every computer I have used it on, including my IBM Thinkpad T20, My Dell Desktop, My HP 9077 Desktop, my Toshiba laptop, and on other generic computers I have worked on. I am a computer geek big-time, and I use the exterrnal floppy drive all the time to boot up to when the CD or DVD drive doesn't work or doesn't exist. I would definitely recommend this little drive to all my family, friends, co-workers, to everybody.

However, I needed a USB floppy that would be recognized after pressing "F6" during the install of Windows Server 2003 on a new replacement server. After wasting time formatting and trying USBKeyPrepF6.exe on several different USB flash drives. I purchased two different USB floppies, HP Teac and IBM. The HP Teac works and the IBM did not.

IBM 3-1/2 inch USB external floppy drive . This is a very solid, simple unit with a slim profile that makes it unobtrusive and easy to use. Since all our new computers no longer come wth diskette drives, this has come in handy for retrieving old photos and other files we saved in the early years.

USB A Drive for a computer . Perfect device for those programs that require and A Drive such as drivers for hardware not included in the operating system. Very easy to use, just plug in and the computer recognizes the drive.
Floppy Drive for old data . I bought this unit to read some old 3-1/2 floppy disks that I had. It worked perfectly, and the windows OS recognized it immediately as a drive. It is a relatively inexpensive way of being able to access those obsolete old disks.
Handy gadget . This floppy drive gives the opportunity to review older material you have saved on old discs Without it that material is unavailable to view on today's computers that do not have an A drive.
