Great product . I got this product to keep on my keychain as I never know when when I am going to need certain files durring computer installs etc. It works great and is very easy to install, its durable and does the job I need it to do. Its been on my keychain getting beat around for about a month now and has not broken like some of its predicessors before it. I definatly reccomend this product.

I love this little USB drive! . I love this drive. It's small and compact, stylish, and most importantly, functions very well. I get comments on it all the time. It's very small, but I carry it on a lanyard so it never gets lost. I chose the E version because it had a cover to protect the metal connectors.
So far it's been very reliable and very durable. I only wish it came in a larger capacity.

Portable works well but has issues . The thing is small, which is nice and works just fine except for one problem I had. My new xbox wouldn't recognize it. I saw it was in NTFS and reformatted to FAT32, but this didn't help.
Also, I bought it primarily for use as a linux jump drive, but after loading it up, I found out my computer has trouble booting from flash drives. This isn't the flash drives fault, just beware to check your computer can boot from a flash drive (and I don't just mean change the boot sequence from the BIOS setup, go online and see if other people had problems).

Sweet Flash Drive . I first noticed the PICO flash drives on another website (thinkgeek) but found that they had more than one type of PICO drive. This drive is not as small as the original one that I was looking at which at first was a negative, but what I wasn't realizing was that this drive has a cover to keep the USB contacts covered when not in use. This is huge for me, because I carry my flash drive on my key ring and that goes in my pocket. I use it as an external memory source for my Xbox360 as well as a personal flash drive, and with 16 Gigs there is enough room for all of my random junk which is great. I gave it a 5 Star but would classify it as more of a 4.5 Star. (they didn't give me that option). The reason is the first one I got did not work and caused my computer to freeze up, but I got a replacement from Amazon in 1 business day so it didn't matter that the drive was faulty.
In conclusion, I like the size of the drive and the amount of memory it has and think that the slide cover over the contacts is a great feature.

great little drive . I have had all of the flash drives. Big, small, plastic, metal. All of them. Most reach an endpoint when some stupid piece of plastic breaks and it falls off my keychain. This item is small and handsome looking. Very compact. It can heat up, but works great. Definitely worth a few bucks more than the bulky items.
Works as advertised . I use this device for Windows 7 ReadyBoost drive. I have 16gb of memory so I plugged this unit into the USB port on the rear of the computer. I configured the drive as ready boost and it has worked like a charm.
Cons Review
Not Quite Small Enough . I'm a huge fan of keeping a high-capacity USB drive on my keychain, loaded with programs (and a few games) that I regularly use on various computers. I also like to keep my keychain light and easily pocketable, which is what drew me to the Super Talent Pico-E. While I like it's small physical size and large storage capacity, the actual USB plug is a hair too big and has damaged a number of USB ports.
The USB plug on the Super Talent Pico-E is a fraction too tall, requiring a little more muscle than usual to insert into a USB port - it's a snug fit. It became easier to plug and unplug the drive over time, but I was unaware that the drive was bending the connection "tongue" in my USB ports. I noticed the damage when plugging a different USB device into a damaged port: the device was obviously loose even when fully inserted. I tested this other device in a USB port that had never been used with the Super Talent Pico-E, and it fit properly. Further testing with other USB devices (mice, keyboards, flash drives, hard drives) across the numerous computers I maintain revealed that each USB port that I regularly plugged the Super Talent Pico-E into was now loose. Some damaged USB ports would no longer maintain a consistent connection, causing devices other than the Super Talent Pico-E to intermittently disconnect and reconnect at the slightest vibration.
And I am not the only with the problem - I purchased a slew of these Super Talent Pico-E drives for myself and my coworkers, and we've all had the same issues. Every drive's USB plug was a fraction too tall, damaging the USB ports on their computers as well. (Not to mention also damaging the USB ports on some USB hubs, an XBox360, a few PS3's, and a USB-enabled car stereo.)
For what it's worth, the drives worked well while we were using them. Not the fastest, but plenty good for our needs. Never needed drivers, whether using Windows, OS X, Linux, OpenSolaris, etc.
Perhaps we got a bad batch. Regardless, we've since chucked them all. If only we could replace the damaged USB ports as easily...

Fail Squared . I bought this flash drive in July to help transport files from my home to my office and back again. The fit into the port is not smooth and plugging the drive in and taking it back out was often a struggle.
Since I purchased this flash drive it has failed twice, all files being lost.
This flash drive is cheap, poorly manufactured and destined to fail. Any flash drive that fails this frequently isn't worth a tenth of the price. Find a more reliable company and a better manufactured product - don't waste your money on this one.

Not a good value . In this age and time, all USB flash drives are pretty much plug and play. Gone are the days when one needed special drivers.
So the difference between USB flash drives are their transfer rate, external features, like size and other bells and whistles, and price.
This Pico-E drive claims top class transfer rates. Unfortunately, it doesn't deliver.
I bought 2 drives: this 8GB Pico-E and the 16GB Sandisk Cruiser Micro, both for about the same price. Although the Sandisk claims "Micro" in it's name, for today's standards, there's nothing small about it. The Pico-E is about a third of the size of the Sandisk.
Unfortunately, that's where it ends. Speed-wise, the Sandisk beats the Pico-E hands down.
I transferred a 2GB folder with tons of files ranging from 400KB to 9MB in size. The Pico-E took about 6 mins. The Cruiser took a little over 4 mins.
And yes, I repeated the experiment 3 times for each drive.
For the same price, I got double the capacity in the Cruiser.
