This is unbelievable considering the price, but that is the way it is.
If you can't find another secure USB stick that you like then you'll want to come up with the money for the personal level device and not the basic. I had been recommending this to friends and family until I realized that mine would never be updated. The problem is that I get the blue screen of death on my Windows 7 box every now and then when locking the IronKey with no hope of it ever being fixed.

I'm not a tech or security professional, so I cannot vouch for the validity of the Iron Key's technical claims, but as an ordinary user, this Iron Key Basic S200 8Gb feels good, runs fast and runs simply.

Secure durable & fast . Simply put, this is the best flash drive for the overall package of security, durability, and speed. I originally bought a Verbatim Corporate Secure drive, which I returned almost immediately because of the buggy interface software and cheaply made plastic housing. Further research turned up the Ironkey, which I am 100% satisfied with. Potential buyers should go to the Ironkey site and review the security features (there are many) against competing products. Imation has recently come out with their own secure, biometric flash drive, but I'm still convinced that the Ironkey is a superior product. (Search online for a May 2010 Computer World comparison of the two drives.)
Cons Review
do not buy from directliquidators . Direct liquidators states they are selling a new product. However, your shipment will come with a note saying it may not be "new". This is a disservice to the customer, since there is no discount on the price. And I highly doubt that this company is going to pay for the waste of my time and money to return the product.
