Great Product . I purchased this about months ago and it has been working great. I configured it with two 2TB drives and have it running in Raid 1 mode. So far it has worked as advertised. I have it set to backup each of my computers along with network storage of all of my photo's. It runs very quiet and is easy to use overall. The web interface works fine. I have used DNLA from my android phone to transfer pictures up to it which worked as expected. One oddity is the itunes server which has to have all music at the top level of the itunes folder with no sub-directories otherwise the songs are not recognized. Not the best for a large library where you may have duplicate versions of a song from different albums. Bit torrent worked well especially when downloading ubuntu gamer edition dvd images for burning. Let it run through the night. Overall works well. Other odd thing is that once registered with LG, they have twice asked my to review my refrigerator purchase. Not sure how they figured that one out. As a side, it didn't keep the beer cold at all.
Lg Nas 2 Bay with Bd-rw (hdd Not Included) Reviews
WOW! . I have a gigabit wired & 802.11n wireless network in my home with wired connections in every room and have been using my PC to act as my media server until I picked up this bad boy. Easy set up, has an excellent feature set, DLNA, iTunes server, webdev, esata & usb ports, etc,...

Now, I am using this a a media server and could not be more pleased. Well, yes I could. If LG would allow the USB & esata ports to be used to expand the capacity of the unit instead of just for rapid backup it would be unbeatable. LG even gives you a domain name that even if you have a dynamic IP, you can access your goodies anywhere you can get on the net.

Runs cool & quiet, performs and has tons of features (yes, it does RAID) and the latest firmware update allows for 2 gigabyte drives to be used so you have 4 gigs zipping at network LAN speeds. Cool.

Cons Review
Not impressed . I tried two of these devices and could not get them to reliably serve any video. I was pretty consistent with music but it took almost a minute to play first song. With photos they displayed fine. Video was a loser. I could get SOME videos to play on the PS3 MOST of the time. I could not get ANY videos to play on the Sony DVD player.

I know the formats worked because I went to Twonky and from my Windows Home Server I could (and can) play all media files.

Overall I liked the unit. The software was better than some other NAS units I have used. Loading was not fast but not as slow as other devices. The drive bays were solid and easy to install drives and were hot swappable although I never got far enough to test that feature.

If I could get it to work I think I would have been happy with the style, layout and BR disc for backup. But if I can't play my files then its just a big paperweight.
