Awesome so for . I've used the A70 for about a month now to do Time Machine backups on my Macbook Pro and have loaded about 150GB of movies on it. It's fast enough for those applications. I dropped it accidentally once onto a hardwood floor about 4 feet up and it has had no problems. Haven't dropped in the bathtub, but I've seen the video where they chuck it into a swimming pool and I'm inclined to believe it. I'm confident it will survive if it gets a little wet. 4 stars just because this one has very smooth metal surfaces. There are no little rubber feet so it slips easily (as it did onto my kitchen floor).I learned that this same company makes the A10 which is the same drive with a really rugged rubber outer coating, and I was determined to buy one. Unfortunately they are completely unavailable. I think this is a European based company that has stopped selling in the US, because absolutely nobody sells them online anymore (except for the few A80's left on Amazon). The company phone number in California is disconnected.I've read so many reviews and hear about so many people that have HD's (e.g. WD or Seagate) that die after a year or so, so I think it's worth it to get a rugged drive. The ADATA SH93 is a very good alternative, waterproof, dropproof, and available on Amazon
