Went right into the garbage . The Kingston USB products, or at least this one that I ordered through Amazon, comes with difficult-to-alter, proprietary software that attempts to make itself the standard method by which one might back-up music, pictures, whatever, on this particular USB drive.

It was practically impossible for a medium-competent Windows Explorer user to simply delete and reformat the drive so it could be used as a simple, plain-vanilla storage drive. Moreover, their power requirements made it difficult for my USB-powered "hub" to run and recognize them.

Despite the prevalence of Kingston USB drives, and their occasionally competitive prices, I won't touch them again. Btw, I HAVE been generally happy with Sandisk and Verbatim products.
