Awesome fast and portable with great support . This thing is fast. I tested it using ATTO and consistently see 190-205mg/sec. It feels almost as fast as my SSD which clocks in at 250+. At 22 cents a gig for this vs 1.5 dollars a gig for SSD I can live with the difference. To get top speeds you need to use eSata. USB also works but of course USB 2.0 maxes out at 30mg/sec. I did not test Firewire.
It comes with a cable for each connection type, an external power supply and a USB power adapter. If you use the USB power adapter you will need to use both USB ends because this puppy uses twice as much power as a single drive.
Its larger than a portable single drive but this form factor works better for laptop bags than other external raid units I've seen. It slides right into my laptop bag's outer pocket and doesn't create a bulge.
Customer support is great too. I had a problem with the power connector and they replaced the whole unit, paid for shipping both ways and threw in an extra power supply as well.
I've got a bunch of VM's with multiple snapshots I need to carry around and this works well for me.
So, I'm happy with it until SSDs come down in price. But even when they do I'll be replacing the dual mechanicals with dual SSDs.
