Cute design that is sure to bring a smile . I saw these at Staples and had to get one. They're cute and very small. Performance is what I'd expect. A test copy of 370 MB of data took about 2 minutes.
The head contains the USB plug and memory. The body is the cap. You stick the chain tab into the body to keep the cap from getting lost. Very smart.
Directions could be better (there are none). I didn't know to loop the chain through the ear hole until I saw this product page on Amazon. The front of the packaging has the loop attached, but shot at an angle where it isn't very clear. Mine doesn't have EMTEC written across its body.
The only caveat is that due to its unconventional shape, you will have trouble making use of both of the USB ports if they are stacked one on top of the other or situated very close to one another side by side, like most laptops are. You will have to choose between mouse or USB drive, like I have to do on the laptop I'm typing this review from. This is pretty much a given for any irregularly shaped USB drive.
My only other comment is that the blister-pak it comes in is hard to open without a knife or scissors, but otherwise, a really fun and whimsical product that will brighten up anyone's day. Cow, monkey, panda, and other animals are available as well. A great gift-giving idea.

Very cute...not great design . I LOVE my piggie, and other people always ask where they can get one too! (I got mine at staples...it was 12 dollars there).Although, not a great design. The chain runs through his ear, which is such a tiny piece of rubber that it ripped through within the first week. My brother and mom have some of the other animal designs, the fish and turtle, and both of those have ripped through too. I also pulled out the actual flash drive out of the head, but that isn't such a big deal and should be easy to fix. Because the head is round however, it doesn't quite fit into all USB ports.So, I would recommend because of how adorable they are, but very poor design usefulness wise.

Cons Review
Not good. At all. . While it IS very cute, and has a clever design... it doesn't seem to work too well.At first, everything was working just fine, no problem. But suddenly, (and this wasn't a few years after I bought it- this was just a few WEEKS later-) it went insane and encrypted everything in itself.I tried to get my precious files back with program after program after program... but nothing worked.In the end, I gave up and tried to format it.Shortly after, it write-protected itself... and as a result, it's now useless. :(This didn't happen to me with another flash drive from the same company, the penguin- is the quality wavering?
