Fast as ligthning . This flash drive is one of the fastest things I have seen till now.
Even on USB 2.0 it gives a good 30 MB/s read/write performance, being much faster
than that when using it on USB3

Space and Cover . This is actually a 14.7 GB USB flash drive not a 16 GB as advertised, yes, 1.3 GB is missing.
its cover feels like cheap plastic also.
those were the drawbacks I noticed about that drive. I had it couple of days ago, so I don't know anything about data keep/loss issues.

Cons Review
JetFlash 700 USB 3.0 drive does not work . Cannot recommend this flash drive. My speed is no faster than USB 2.0. When plugged into a USB 2.0 port I would get a message from Windows that the drive would perform faster on a USB 3.0 port. When plugged into a USB 3.0 port I did not get the message, so the drive was responding to the USB 3.0 port, however, it was no faster. I sent a request to Transcend explaining the problem and conditions, never a response.
Nothing but trouble with this Transcend 16 GB USB 3 Flash Drive . First, delivery was two days later than promised. Then, when plugged into the USB 3 port of my ASUS G73JW computer, it was no faster than a USB 2 device. I then read the fine print in the accompanying brochure and learned I needed to download software to enable it. Only portions of the company's web site were in English...the rest was in Chinese. After 30 minutes of poking and prodding, I found and downloaded the recommended program and installed it. It made no difference. After another 45 minutes of frustration, trial and error, it still didn't work as advertised. I packaged it up and returned it to Amazon, the only part of the entire process which went smoothly. It's the first time I've had to return an item to Amazon for refund, and it proved to be painless (and free).
