good disk but buy another USB connection cord . The drive is great. Great size. Enough to save everything I have ever created.
Only one drawback, the USB connection cord is flimsy at best. I had to replace it with another cord from a Maxtor USB drive. Since then everything works great.

Awesome hard drive . This is my first time buying an external hard drive but i have seen all my friends buy drives from different companies such as sea-gate and western digital. I have got to say this one blows all of those out of the water! this drive is quiet and with USB 3.0 all my data transfers fast, i can play blue ray movies off of it and onto my computer flawlessly and that's just with USB 2.0. I haven't experienced any over heating at all and i use this drive constantly, because i play my movies that i keep back up copies of. It's very stylish and the brushed metal looks great. this hard drive doesn't turn off randomly like I've seen with other drives. When the drive is on there is only one small blue light that blinks on the front of it and it's not too bright or annoying at all, it just makes the appeal look that much better. the price is also a great deal at $100 for 2TB. IF this drive happens to fail on me in the near future i will come back and change my review, but so far so good.
FYI: ALL USB 3.0 is backwards compatible so it will work with USB 2.0 WITHOUT having to buy any other cables.

So far so good! . I've purchased a multitude of different brands of hard drives over the past 5years or so, either for gifts or personal use and none has had any problems so far. My very first was the Fantom 250gb which I still have and use; it's still kicking after about 4years. When it came time to purchase another, I decided to go with another Fantom. I've had it for about 2 weeks now and so far so good. Easy to use, just plug and play.
The size is perfect, way smaller than my Cavalry and WD so that's a PLUS. It's pretty quiet. Warms up after about 2-3hrs of use but that's as expected. I'm keeping my fingers cross that this will last as long as my first one.

Fantom G-Force3 2TB Drives are Tops . I don't usually take time to write reviews mainly because I'm extremely busy most of the time. In the case of the Fantom G-Force3 2TB Drives I decided to make an acceptation. These drives are some of the nicest external drives I've ever used, so well in fact, I purchased a second and third. The USB 3.0 technology is very responsive; the capacity is an excellent Windows 7 backup tool. Also, they are a solid and nice looking drive. The black Fantom is a tool you won't mind seeing on your desktop. What makes the deal even sweeter is the fact that they are under $100.00 each.

Made of Steel . I got this drive last week and so far so good. My first impression: "Oh, Yeah!". Its incredibly sturdy, not your average plastic portable drive. I dont believe its the internal components that weigh that much, but the casing itself doesn't look like it would be that heavy either. Regardless, I love the weight and feel and the fact that it has a 3 year manufacturer warranty. It is recommended that you eject the drive before turning off your drive and computer so as long as you do that I dont see this thing crashing anytime soon. Im using it on a 2.0 usb port and its decent in speed considering my computer is completely full, i'm sure once its empty the drive will run a bit faster.
Phantom review . This hard drive is great , built tuff and runs flawlessly! When my music library grows beyond 2 TB I will buy another.
Fatom G Force 2tb from Amazon.com . Great product, transferred all my files from another external that I have had for a long time and then formatted that HD.
