JetFlash T3 is a brand-new ultra-tiny USB flash drive. Measuring only 30.2mm x 12.3mm x 2.4mm (L x W x D), the T3 is incredibly compact, and only weighs a mere 2g. Unlike other miniature USB flash drives which are fragile, bend and break easily, the JetFlash T3 is designed to be extra-rugged. Using a special COB (Chip On Board) manufacturing technique that molds the memory chip and circuit board into the drive unbreakable Polycarbonate casing, the T3 is more solid and robust than even full-sized flash drives. JetFlash T3 durability and tiny footprint allows it to be carried in places where ordinary flash drives just do not fit. Perfect for an HP Mini 1000 . I read on Gizmodo that this would work in that strange recessed proprietary USB slot on my HP Mini 1000. It fits perfectly and I am very happy to now have an additional 8GB of solid state storage at a very affordable price. Even nicer is the fact that the Mini doesn't see this as an external device so that annoying "choose how you'd like to download" dialogue box doesn't pop up in Windows (XP).
As far as speed is concerned, I don't care - it fits, it stores, it is TINY and cheap so I'm happy.
Now... where is the 16 GB version????

DURABLE !!! . I accidently washed this thing.
It's so small, I couldn't feel it while checking for change etc.
Then I realized it [ the usb drive ] wasn't where I thought it was,
then I remembered, I had them in the cargo pockets of my shorts!!!!!
Which I just washed and dried....
All the data was still there and no damage to the drive at all, not bent or warped or banged up!!!!
I thought for sure the data would be gone, but it was all there!!!
This is not cheap flimsy plastic like the kingston dt is!!! I already had 2 break on me
they are only good to use in the house and don't carry them around.
The transcend can take a pretty good licking and keep on working.
If this thing suddenly dies, I'll post an update on it, but so far so good!
And I am a happy customer.

Perfect fit for HP Mini 1000 with SSD . This is basically the HP mobile drive for HP Mini 1000. It's a perfect match if you need more capacity for the HP Mini 1000 SSD model. The HD model doesn't come with the USB port for HP mobile drive.

A great little card . I've had lots of USB flash drives over the year. The biggest problem I have with them is that they are seldom with me when I need one. I set out looking for something small enough that I could put in my wallet.
This drive works great. I keep it nestled in between two credit cards in my wallet and it's always with me. I've done no actual speed benchmarks on it but it works great for my needs.

Perfect fit . This was an upgrade for the HP mobile drive that comes with SSD models of HP's Mini 1000.Mine came with a 2gb one and I bought this to replace it. Super easy just pried the tab a bit off HP's proprietary carrier and slipped out the old one and snapped in the new one. Went from 16gb(int) + 2gb Mobile drive to 16gb(int) + 8gb Mobile drive for such a cheap price. If you have a SSD model HP Mini 1000 this is an inexpensive and easy upgrade. I highly recommend it.
Works great with HP Mini-1000 . I purchased this to use with my HP Mini 1030nr. These netbooks come with a recessed USB port and a 2GB Transcend flash drive. While many complain about the "proprietary" flash drive, I have found it very useful to have a flash drive installed that doesn't stick out to get snagged on things or risk being broken off. With the 8GB size drive, I was able to install Linux onto the flash drive with plenty of room to spare. The netbooks BIOS will let me book off of a USB drive directly, so I didn't need to touch Windows on the main hard drive at all. So far, I've had no problems running a second OS off of the flash drive.
JetDrive T3K 8GB . 8 Gigabytes in a thumbnail sized drive! Even with its modest speed, the mere concept of 8 gigabytes of data storage in a space scarcely larger than a dime is a winner with me. So much so, that I've gone back for two more!
Cons Review
7 months of great . This tiny USB drive was great. Fit on my key ring. Carried it everywhere with out any bother. Worked perfectly for 7 months. Now, it is unrecognizable by Mac and Windows reports it is there but cannot access it.
Not good as a portable USB drive . This one is really a 2-sided story, and ultimately, you have to ask yourself what you will be using the drive for. If you are looking for a small drive for memory expansion, by all means, I highly recommend this drive. It is as small as you are going to find and works well. It is relatively fast and extremely unobtrusive.
However, the other side of the story is that it is horrible as a portable drive. I made the assumption when purchasing this drive that even though it was tiny and completely open without protection that it would be well built and easily withstand being transported in a pocket. Not so. This drive died on me within 2 weeks of transport in my pocket. Nothing else happened to it... it was in a relatively loose pocket and not smashed, broken, etc. Apparently, the friction and scratches from inside the pocket were too much for it. One of the major attractions about this drive is the extreme portability of it, and they even provide you with an attachment for a keychain. Not being able to take use of this attraction was a huge disappointment for me. Next time I will opt for a larger, yet more protected drive.

Plastic is Durable But Device is Not . Didn't last more than a few weeks. The plastic is certainly strong, but the exposed gold connectors are completely unprotected. Strangely, the connectors seem OK, but the thing just stopped working. Frankly, I don't think it's worth the risk. If you are traveling, go a tiny bit larger and get something that is adequately protected.
