Awesome Product . I bought one for my Dad and he used it twice at the emergency room when he could not remember all his medications and doses.
The staff was very impressed with all the information it held and he was so glad I bought it for him. This is a life saver!!
I carry mine all the time and I also use the spare memory as my working flash drive for work.
Because it is in my wallet, I never forget is or misplace it.

ICE Medical USB Drive Reviews
Great product but..... . First, let me say that I use Amazon almost exclusively for my purchases. However, on this item I had to buy elsewhere because of a store credit, and this is why you don't see me listed as an Amazon Verified Purchase. Now, on to the review: Everything you've read from the other reviewers is correct. It's a great way to organize your medical contact and history info all into one spot, it's shape is the same as a thick credit card so it will fit into your wallet, it's flexible (to some extent) so it won't easily break in your wallet, it's well marked so emergency personnel can find it quickly, it even comes with little stickers that you can put on your drivers license so they know you have one. It's a flash drive so you can even put music, pictures and whatever you want on it. Five stars all around.
Now....for my pet peeves. When I inserted the card for the first time, I was informed that I needed to update Microsoft's NET Framework for the card to work. This took about 20 minutes. Now my thoughts was...what if the ambulance laptop need that update as well? Hmmmmmm...I could die before they got to my records. Once I was up to date on my laptop, I open the card and took a look at the software inside. All very well organized, and lots of spaces to add a lot of data. Hmmmmm...I thought. I could die before they were able to access the most needed information about me...my meds, my conditions, and my allergies. So, I closed the software and looked around inside the software's folder to see what made it tick. Of course, I found an executable file, and this left me wondering if ambulance personnel would risk their laptops by inserting someone's flash drive into their laptop, not knowing if it was infected. Hmmmmm...I could die while that decision is being made. So, my solution...since this card is nothing more that a flash drive, I went to my Computer, found the drive, right clicked on the drive and selected Format. This cleaned up the manufacturer's software, and left me with a clean drive. I then opened Notepad on my computer and created a file with my contact info, my family emergency numbers, my insurance information, my meds, my medical conditions, my surgery and my doctor's contact info. Why did I use Notepad? Because it is a simple software loaded on every computer in the known universe, and will quickly open and let the provider get what they need to get. Then I put a little note on the card that said. ".txt files only" Bammm....done. Live long and prosper.

ICE Medical USB Drive Opinions
Started a trend . I bought one of these to keep my very complicated med history on, and when I pulled it out at one of my medical offices, they were so excited that they decided to buy them for each of their patients, so that they could just pull out the card and make changes on the patient's mobile record, instead of loading them down with papers that get lost.

Medical Safety Net . This is a great product and is simply a 2 GB usb drive inside a credit-card sized holder. But, you can buy the exact same thing from CVS pharmacy stores for $12.00 on the CVS website. It is packaged under the name CVS Medical USB Data Card but the card says ICE Medical ID. At that price it is a real bargain and you can buy two for the price of one on Amazon.
Great Product !! . As everyone says in reviews, once your info is entered it's great.
Reason for only 4 stars:
Really slow syncing with online storage site.
Takes a long time to add Power of Attorney or any official documents.

A "MUST HAVE." . In 2007 I was in a traffic accident. I had injuries too long to list here. I was in shock, throwing up blood and kept passing out. I was in the hospital for over twenty days. The accident has caused life long medical problems.
I didn't have this card then. You can bet your buttons that I always have one now. I keep it with me at all times. I prefer the card to the key ring style or the necklace. The reason is that while they were removing me from the vehicle, I couldn't hold onto my key ring and it was lost. They always look for your wallet to get your drivers license, medical card, etc. This way the card is right with them.
Don't think something will never happen to you or a family member. This card will provide all the information medical people need when you can't talk. It could save your life. GET ONE.

Love the ICE Medical USB Hub . This is the second ICE Medical USB Hub I have puchased. Gave one to my mother for Mother's Day and this one is for my Dad for Father's Day. Great invention. Makes it so much easier when they go to the doctor or hospital.
Works but don't add images . This device is good for basic text information. However, if you want to add a living will or power of attorney as image files--what the program recommends--get ready for a LONG wait. Importing a single 300Kb .jpg takes a full minute. My power of attorney is 12 pages long (12 .jpg). Even so, I thought this could be vital to have in some instances. So, got all 12 pages imported, then closed the 'Power of Attorney' window. It took 3-1/2 minutes to return to the data screen. Ok, maybe it was saving (a ludicrous amount of time to a flash drive). Correctly closed the ICE program, waited until I got the message it was safe to do so, removed the USB card, reinserted it, opened ICE, clicked 'Power of Attorney' button and waited a full minute for it to display. Then, without changing anything, closed the 'Power of Attorney' window and waited another 3-1/2 minutes to go back to the data screen! As bad as that is, the program gives no indication that anything is happening during the wait, no 'Saving...', or 'Please wait...' message, nothing. I could not imagine a harried nurse or administrator sitting through all this not knowing what was happening. There's more, but that's the gist of my gripe. I suspect most people will not be affected by this.
Cons Review
Not happy . I contacted the seller because the ICE USB drive did not open nor were there any instructions included. To my knowledge I have not received a reply from the seller nor instructions on how to return the product for a refund. Lesson learned, I bought a secure USB and created my own in addition to a metal Medical Alert wallet card & key chain. Reluctantly giving one star because I cannot post review without including a "star"
Caveat . I was ready to buy this but checked the description a little more carefully (and confirmed it where the product is sold on another site) and this product is for windows computers only! The makes it impossible to trust as a medical emergency resource. I've decided the "build-your-own" drive makes more sense.
I write the review only to alert potential buyers to the operating system limitation and have no comments on the device itself.
