5 Stars! . I bought a few of these external hard drives a few months ago. The transfer rate is very quick. They do not over heat, they stay very cool. They are heavy and sturdy and have ample amount of storage space. I would highly recommend these hard drives. They DO have the most important on/off switch which a lot of hard drives don't these days. They are pre-formatted to NTSF, so they are PC friendly right out of the box. They also feature "one touch copying" but I have not tried that yet. A great buy at a great price.

Great storage capacity - fast USB drive . I bought this drive several weeks ago and have used it extensively. It was bought to back up my files after purchase of a new laptop, keep as a backup copy and let me transfer all my old files to my new computer.
Pluses - It does everything advertized, great storage capacity, fast upload and download (there's faster, but this more than worked for me, and faster is rather more expensive just now), good looking, light and compact as it fits in the bag or purse without taking up too much room.
I should say the finish seems reasonably durable as it spent several days alongside a nail file, clips and tweezers without any apparent damage.
It was plug and play on both computers, the old Vista and new Windows 7 seem to both be happy enough with it.
The downside - it does need an AC input, which I didn't realize when I bought it, so it restricts it's use a bit. If it didn't have the adapter it would have been five stars.

Great Little External . Nice little hard drive as I have stated in my title. I love it, its small and sleek. It does the job and does it pretty quickly. I have no complaints thus far. I like the black look in my model that fits well with my desktop. Also it works well with Windows 7. No driver issues at all. Just plug and play.

happy . I am no computer expert, however i love this thing. We figured it out easy and back up fairly fast. We use it to back up all our pics then we throw it in a fire proof safe, just in case.
good performer good value . Very efficient, easy, light, silent, slick. My previous one broke when I dropped it, and since I move around a lot I hope this one will be more shock-proof!
Cons Review
It was broken after 18 months.. . This product failed to work after 18 months. Format (and even low level format) doesn't work at all: I lost all the data I kept for the last 10 years because of this hard disk defect.
Difficult to use . IO was not happy with this product. It was difficult to use. Did not do exactly what I wanted with easy back ups. It seems more complicated to use this than some of the other backup devices I have used in the past.
