This 'little giant' rocks. . This boom box totally rocks, and the sound is phenomenal. I had this on my wish list for a short time before finding an Amazon vendor that had it listed at more than a $100 off the retail price of $249 and that included shipping. According to the manual the unit is rated at 35 watts/channel @ 6 ohms and peaking at 110 watts per channel for an astonishing, room filling, wall shaking party machine. You will NOT be disappointed.
There is an option to turn the light show on/off (there are blue/red LED lights in the speakers that beat to your music.) There is NO CD but you can play songs from a USB stick, dock your IPOD or connect a CD/MD player to the AUX jack in the rear of the unit. It does have a AM/FM radio built in. If it has a option for batteries then I cannot find the compartment, besides batteries would make this thing EXTRA HEAVY and probably would not last long. Build quality is excellent, seems quite solid and there is no vibration from the cabinet when you have the music CrAnKeD uP. Enjoy.
Muteki RDH-GTK1i Mini Hi-Fi System Reviews
Boom badoom boom boom badoom boom bass (he got that super bass) . First off, this baby is HUGE - huge as in bigger than you can imagine and packing a lot of heat. The main selling point here -in my opinion- is the color enhanced speakers that change from blue to red to pink, which sets it apart from its competitors. There's no CD option available, however, in today's day and age that's not really a problem seeing as CDs are nearly a thing of the past. The bass is big and loud, but the Function options (ie, Techno, Jazz, etc. that varies the sound itself coming from the speakers) really provides so many options with only minute varying differences they're almost obsolete. For the price too, the missing iPod adapter piece is disappointing due to how small and cheap it is. Overall, Sony's RDH-GTK1i is a great boom box that's a little heavier than any boom box you've likely ever owned and big enough to fill any room in a house.
Muteki RDH-GTK1i Mini Hi-Fi System Opinions
Cool! . I just love it! it was just what i need it, simple to use and just the basic usb, ipod and radio, with just a few big buttons easy to read. It's portable and very powerful, i would give 5 stars but will give 4 for only one reason, don't have buttons to change folders, you can change the folders only using the remote, that was bad...
Very Meaty piece of equipment . This is a nice boom box, it is bigger than the boom boxes of the eighties where people would carry them on ones shoulders. It is solid built, great sound at 200 plus watts, very impressed with the product thus far. Of course Sony has a good reputation for putting out good electronic products so not a surprise. Just the size of it caught me off guard. A must buy for the beach partier, the dorm room partier, the picnic in the park partier and any other time one needs an on the go option.
