Hp pocket media drive is awesome . Recently bought an HP pavilion slimline tower and wanted to backup my computer. Hard drive slides right into the expansion bay. Easy to use, comes with Roxio backup my pc software pre-installed on drive. Great product.

Easy and Convenient . I bought both an HP 'pocket drive' and an HP 'personal mdia drive' for my HP computer -- there is a bay for each so they are completly inside the computer. Works just fine for backing up my data and taking on trips to use with my laptop, at the same time keeping the data safe at two sites.
The pocket drive is smaller and doesn't require a power cable when used as an external drive. The personal media drive is faster but is larger and requires both a power cable and a USB connection. I think they cost a little more than other competing external drives but the HP drive bays make that worth the difference. I think I prefer the pocket drive over the media drive because of the greater conveniance.

It gives you another layer of security as its ease of removal at any time to be safely stored away. It keeps personal data "Personal".
Using it as a portable hard drive couldn't be more convenient as it will fit in your pocket and takes just seconds to remove or replace. It is great to transfer data to a second pc. It is an ideal product. This is a best buy for me!

ANOTHER GREAT HP PRODUCT . This is my third HP drive and it is just as great as my other two Personal Media Drives (320 GB & 500 GB). I can't recommend it enough. This one is my favorite because of the size and the fact that it does not require a separate power cable. I love that I can just pop this into the bay of any of our 3 HP computers at home - my children love to move it around. Also, it is very nice of HP to include a zippered case for it.
good drive for the money . The HP pocket media drive is exactly what you would expect for an external drive. Nicely designed, good price, speedy enough to use for some things other than backing up. I wouldn't use it to play games, but I can access and play mp3s just fine. I bought it for my HP Pavilion Elite which has an open front bay for a media drive. The only problem is I wasn't careful when purchasing and I bought the POCKET media drive which is not quite the same as the drive intended for the open bay. So it doesn't fit quite as well, but its my own fault. If you have a similar PC from HP with front bays, just be careful as to which drive fits the open bay.
Backups . In addition to recreational media, it's great for storing system backups or individual files; I keep a lot of rarely-used files and programs there instead of in my PC, allowing my system to run better. It's certainly more convenient than the larger external hard drives; fits in a large coat pocket, carrying case and all. And the price was just fine.
HP Pocket Media . Easy to use, stores nicely, very convenient. You can carry it everywhere you go and have all your files with you or pictures, databases, whatever.

Neat product for HP towers. . I purchased this item when I bought my Grandson a new computer. I really like the way it integrates into the computer tower for neatness. I have had no problems with this product. I personally use and have purchased two personal media drives for my own HP tower.
HP Pocket Media Drive - a great addition to my system . I had purchased one with my new computer a year ago and loved it and wanted another. I ordered it through Amazon.com and it is still a wonderful product. It records very fast, is easily portable and reliable. I store lots of pictures I take plus my whole 900 CD music collection and have many gigs of room left over - even with all of the above stored on it.
I will be getting more in the near future as well so I can just have one for just for data, music and pictures. It is a wonderful portable backup drive. I took it on vacation with me this past year and showed my friends episodes of shows they had not seen from tv, listened to some of my favorite albums and viewed many of the pictures I take throughout the year - all in a little pocket drive. It actually does fit in your pocket. It comes in a very nice case and has the connecting cable for USB inside the case as well. I highly recommend it and it is also very quiet and cute.
