Backups unlimited . I use the drive as a "Time Machine" backup drive for my iMac which has a 1 TB drive. This provides a continuous and nearly unlimited method for keeping a backup for the Mac. The drive is totally silent, fast, and seemingly very reliable. A great buy for any external drive use whether it is for storing pictures, movies, music or other large files.

Works fine to extend capacity of FIOS DVR . I bought this to extend the capacity of my FIOS DVR, connecting it to the DVR using an e-SATA cable. It works fine recording both standard and Hi-Def programs. Now, instead of sometimes filling the internal drive of the DVR, I haven't seen the used capacity go over 5%! I'm not sure why the drive seems to be active (flashing activity light and head noises) even when the DVR is off and not recording a show, but that is probably determined by the DVR doing something in the background rather than any issue with the drive.

Great experience . I have two of these drives and they both continue to function with no problems at all. I am very satisfied.
