Fast and durable . Just received this and quite impressed compared to previous USB2.0 drives I have owned. The case is made from a grippy, rubbery material that seems very durable. Most flash drives are quite rugged, but the main cause of failure is the case splitting in half where it snapped together, which can't happen with this guy. CrystalDiskMark shows sequential read at 80 MB/s and sequential write at 20 MB/s over USB 3.0 (see my product image). These speeds were confirmed during file transfers. Speeds over USB 2.0 were 35 MB/s read and 20 MB/s write, still much faster than most USB2 flash drives. I don't know what the previous reviewers were doing (none of those reviews are very specific anyways), but this is a very speedy drive.

Speedy 16GB flash drive but not a miracle . All those USB 2.0 flash drives are so slow that they are hardly limited by USB 2.0 itself, so, that's why I got this USB 3.0 flash drive to use with my USB 2.0 systems.It's upsetting that the mainstream flash drives have literally zero information about their performance; this one has a minor exception in that they do mention the maximum read and write speeds over USB 3.0 that one may hope for.I just unpacked this 16GB drive, and tried it out in my Atom netbook under OpenBSD 4.9. Awesome drive worth extra few bucks . You should not settle for inferior drives by saving $2-7 only.I was lucky and got this drive at black friday or clearance type pricing, but even at current price this drive is well worth it.Just like other owner and picture, I got usb 3.0 speed of 80MB/s read 21MB/s write.
usb 2.0 25MB/s read 20MB/s write with older motherboard without optimizing driver loaded yet.
Normal usb flash averages like 16MB/s read 7MB/s write so this is 50% read gain and 200% write gain even on usb 2.0
On usb 3.0 it is 400% read gain which is AWESOME. Of course premium fast usb 2.0 drive can match or slightly beat it on usb 2.0, but on read this drive is 200% faster.So this drive is 5x write 3x read vs typical flash drive, or 3x read and same write of premium usb 2.0 turbo drive.Corsair is quality and kind of big name in amazon... flash, ram, cooler, power supply, and other things I did not noticed...Case is very very solid and made of rubber(heat pad type?). It feels like it would not break even if I step on carpeted floor(though I would not try it).
Key hole loop looks solid enough to attach directly to key chain ring rather than indirectly through string like competition.Summery:This is very very fast read drive for under $150

Great . I love this usb drive. It does exactly what it is supposed to do, stores my files and is very fast at transferring data.
Unimpressive Speeds . Good price, good speed, just simply not impressed. I would also recommend this product. I'll really like it when SSD's are Thunderbolt'd to my PC.
Cons Review
Don't buy. Horrible quality control. . 2 months after I bought this it started acting odd and not always mounting. By three months it was dead. I got an RMA and had to ship it back at my cost. They sent me a replacement fairly quickly and I was happy until I took off the cap and the USB connector went with it. Now they say i have to pay shipping to send it to them again. I could understand one bad drive but two? That sounds like a problem. Look elsewhere. Part of the reason I bought this was because Corsair is normally a good company.
