Elementary storage . The G-Raid Mini have been around for a few years now, I have several, the latest being the 1 TB version. these are ultra-small, fits easy in the pocket of my backpack, I use them for dumping files from photo shoots. I also use a 1 TB for my mac-book pro time machine backup.
The thing is powered from the firewire port.
The product is painless, works entirely as advertised, is rock solid and survive being lugged around and dumped on the floor in my backpack multiple times every day.
Not the cheapest ticket for 1TB. but if you are a pro user like me, and just want a portable brick of reliable data storage, this might be the best ticket.
As far as I am concerned, there are more of these in my future. Highly Recommended.

Speed little devil. . I've had this drive for a few months now editing some HD material on my Core 2 Duo Macbook Pro. Works flawlessly. Small, fast, light weight and powered through firewire. What else is there to say?

Great product HORRIBLE customer support at G-Tech . This is great product - amazing, compact design. WARNING: Do not buy directly from G-Tech. Customer support is slow, bungled and incompetent. It's almost as if they're a bunch of high school kids running the department. Buy instead from a trusted source like B&H.

LOVE this drive so far . Well thought out, very easy and fun to use, nice size, always works, cute rugged "Mac" look. Gave it a 4 out of 5 because it hasn't stood the test of time yet, but if it lasts, it's definitely a 5 !
