Experience with Windows 7 . I have the 32 GB version, and tested it on XP and Win7 systems. The LOCK software does NOT work with Windows 7 64-bit, but does work with Windows 7 32 bit and XP. The tech support people were pleasant but claimed not to know anything about this and said they would look into it. (Hard to believe that they have no testing data -- the package does say "Windows 7" compatible.)The error has to do with Privileged User settings in Windows 7, which is a different process than other versions, and I could not find a solution.
The drive can be formatted as NTFS and used without the software (but the 32 GB has 1 less GB available than a Sandisk 32 that I use).
Trying to change the size of the secure partition on XP worked, but on Win7-32 did cause a crash of the software and changed the flash to a FAT32 format. You can re-install the drive by putting LOCK back on the FAT32 disk, run LOCKv2.34, put in the wrong password 6 times, and let it reformat it as FAT + secure partition.

Easy to use but slow . Small size and the 360 deg. rotating cap for protection is a good feature.
Pro: it has a public partition visible for everybody and an invisible one password protected; the software is simple and easy to use.
Con: you have to save the installation files on a different location because a mistake made during the installation would erase them (you can order free of charge new files, but you have to wait until you get them). The software is very slow; it takes more than 1 min. to lock or unlock the device and sometime you need to rebut the computer. The device gives you an error message asking you to login as an administrator, although you have administrator privileges.

Great for my purposes . Purchased this for use in my Xbox 360 Slim. Passed the performance test and have had no issues with it since its first use.

good but don't put it on key chain only one year warrenty poor . The Warrenty in this item is only one year and did not like that. Also I use the USB flash drives on my key chain and forund it to be to fragile for my use. I sent it back..

Great price & quick delivery . I bought 3 of these...2 for my twin sons headed to college and one for my daughter who just graduated and started teaching. They arrived in less than a week, were packaged just lie the picture, and the price was the best I could find for a 16GB jump drive.
I like it! . I bought the Maxell 360 16 GB 2.0 flash drive and it works great for me on my Windows 7. Initially it was a bit tricky trying to figure it out bcuz there are no instructions but there is an 800 number on the package and a very nice person walked me through it and now I have no problems. You can partition the secure and non secure areas in any size you prefer with just a couple of clicks.
Cons Review
Caution: Password protection not compatible with Vista or Windows 7! . The security feature of this product--still on the market for some reason in 2011!--is designed for use with XP and earlier operating systems and doesn't work with Vista or beyond! Probably fine as portable memory--but not for files that you want to keep secure.
16 gb Maxell 360 slow unreliable now dead . The best thing I can write about this unit is that it lasted for 4 months, here are the drawbacks
1. when working, it was the slowest read-write speed of any of my usb drives.
2. everytime you plug it in to a computer, the "Easy-Sync" (Maxell's automatic backup program) pops up. An annoyance at best, takes up over 1 gig?, so you've got 14.3 gigs left. (I use a windows briefcase function to keep all my files backed up)
3. 2 days ago, all the data (10 gigs) on the drive disappeared, and the the operating system at home, & at work could not open, or read the usb, both said the drive needed to be formatted, but neither computer could format it (XP versions)
4. tried all the webs cited, steps advised, tried device manager-> changing the "policies-optimize" to allow NTFS formatting.. appears that the unit does not respond.. dead
4. little web support, FAQ's, etc... on web site... they have too many irons in the fire it appears.
Final Analysis: unreliable, slow, a temporary data storage device for limited usage, limited service.

Defective Product Terrible Support . I received this product well packed, however, the included encryption software did not run as advertised. It crashed on two different computers, and left the drive unusable. I returned the item to technical support, and have now waited two months for a replacement. I have had to go buy another vendor's product due to the long delay.
They do answer the phone when you call, and they do return emails, but do not seem to actually take steps to correct the problem. I would sterr clear of Maxell flash drives until they react to the release of WIndows 7, which they have apparently not done yet.
