Cons Review
Let down . I currently own a G-tech, Gdrive. It has been working great for over a year now. Never runs hot, but I needed more space and performance. I read some poor reviews, but I figured I would give this one a try since I own one of their products. Right out of the box, I hooked it up to my iMac. It mounted it for a few seconds then shut off. I'm computer literate and tried it several times. Called customer support (which happens to be 40 miles away) and I was told it had a bad controller board, but I had to mail it to them at my own expense. I contacted the vendor who I purchased through. I was offered a replacement, but I just wanted a refund. Again, I had to pay for shipping back to the east coast. G-tech makes great products, but I would stay away from the this model. As far as the vendor, one would think they would eat the cost of shipping or get it from the manufacturer. Won't be buying from here again.
